It was really close to where I was staying which made it very convenient. The store is set up for convenience. Having items that are a quick grab at the front of the store was great. If I missed a meal or needed to grab a snack, I walked into here after getting off the tube and before I was going to my room. I enjoyed the selection they had and found amusement in the American section. I also like the self check outs, making it easier to get out of here once I made my selections.

In my Clubacard app it appeared as delivered. On Friday, and because they didn't refund my money, I wrote to the customer service WhatsApp, and they texted me that in the deposit they forgot to make the refund, I complained because 5 days had already passed, and they told me that they would make the refund this same day. The day after, without a refund, I wrote again, and they tell me that I have to wait 3 to 5 more days. What rubbish company is this?. this is a robbery, no other supermarket charges you for a purchase until you receive it, and Tesco does it, bill you for the purchase, or keeps your money unless you claim it.

Crispy rice and pea chips are my new favourite snack food, and Black Tower wine has also found itself high on my list of things that I seek when I come to the store. I also love the Innocent-brand green juices. I tried the limoncello dessert as well, but it was a little sweet for my taste. The selection is decent, as are the prices, and they have quite a few interesting things that we don't have back in the States: like Jack and Coke or gin cocktails. Together. In one can. Brilliant.

Also, the quality of food, especially the fruits aren't the best. I bought a bundle of oranges that turned out to have completely molded on one side. I've also bought a jar of salsa that was apparently already opened. If you come here within an hour before closing, you will have to step over boxes messily strewn across the already limited floorspace, as the worker are restocking the shelves. With that said, this market is in a convenient location and is open until like midnight.

Little did I realize my family lives just a few blocks from Waitrose. Upon walking towards the entrance and entering the grocery store, the ambiance and appearance were bright and cheery. The lime green hues were calming as well. Perusing through the isles was reminiscent to the Rainbow Market located in El Cerrito CA USA. The wine selection had quite a few different varieties including, lol~"The Rest Of The World" humorous labeling. The pastries were not labeled with the entire list of ingredients used making each pastry so, I was unsure what the ingredients used were. The common daily necessities such as organic milk and eggs were ample as well as diapers for my grand-daughter and TP located on the shelving were plentiful, too. Fruit and veggies appeared fresh as well which my daughter bought three bananas for my grand-daughter.

I've been in here a few times when I've fancied a cheaper lunch than that offered on the street itself. Every time i've been in there the staff have been lovely, courteous and patient (which is a surprise considering some of the rude lunch crowd they get through). I normally do my 'side shopping' at the Co-Op on old street itself, but since that store is closed at the moment for refurbishment I ventured a bit 'up market' and I have to say, I'm glad I did. The selection of food, fruit and veg on offer is staggering in comparison to the co-op. Everything I've eaten from here has been faultless, which is surprising considering the first sandwich I bought was a cheese and celery (It sounds weird but I couldn't resist). One thing that suprised me was definitely the price, it was my misconception that Waitrose was very expensive when compared to other retailers. OH HOW WRONG I WAS! On the items i bought (sandwiches, fruit and other nic-nacs) Waitrose was consistently the same price or cheaper than it's counterparts. Need I say, I'm definitely shopping here again and I reccommend you do to!

Compared to America, everything in the store was very well-priced and I was elated to find an entire gluten free aisle to shop from. I literally was a kid in a (GF) candy store haha. The image is from a slight afternoon haul where I was craving some snacks. The GF bread had many nutritious seeds and came in handy throughout my stay. I have been missing the GF jam tarts and Bakewells every day and cannot wait to indulge once I return to the UK. It was so hard to believe that the baked goods were not only GF but were also milk free! Although Sainsbury's is a convenience store, it still deserves the praise on here for any future shoppers from near or far.

I had visited several locations while in London and they are all laid out roughly the same, making it easy to find what you need. They are slightly cheaper than posh smaller markets, but it is a standard chain grocery store, so quality is a little less for meat, fruit, veggies, etc. There are quite a few around London and its outskirts, so never had an issue while visiting, which is great. All and all, I overall was quite happy with my visits.

I frankly haven't changed much over the years. I stayed in South Kensington. I loved it. Across from Gloucester Road tube station was this Waitrose. It had everything that I needed. I tend to get lemons and make lemon tea in the morning. Waitrose had lemons, so I got three that lasted my entire stay. The baked goods section is excellent. I got croissants here. They were flaky, buttery, and yummy. I got some peanut brittle, too. It was so good. Butter tends to make anything taste better. I remember seeing self-checkouts here. I ended up wanting a human. He was great. I paid with a credit card. It worked perfectly. I'm so glad that this Waitrose still exists. It was a good grocery store that had everything I needed while I was here for a week. (38)

One of the reasons I deducted one star is because one of the female cashiers came off as being rude. She said, "If you want a bag, you should've said so" with so much spite. What in the world was going on in her life that she had to take it out on a customer? Meanwhile, on the other spectrum, her coworkers went out of their way trying to help me find shelf stable milk since my hotel didn't have a fridge. So pros: convenient, helps save some money, some of the employees go out of their way to be helpful. Cons: At least one female cashier needs to be spoken to by management about how she talks to customers.

The US really needs to get onboard with this prepacked sandwich/wrap/sub/salad/pasta (that are relatively healthy) plus a snack and beverage for $5. It was very busy inside with what I imagine was mostly the regular weekday comminutors. There are many self-checkouts so the line went fast. Advice for visitors: like the vast majority of stores in the UK, make sure you bring your own bag or you will be charged for one.
