The new and improved store is now open. The new cafe is upstairs and is lovely, much quieter then the old one that was adjacent to the store the staff are friendly and helpful. The main store has just added self service checkouts these are rubbish (even worse than tesco) it really did not want me to have a cauliflower and the lad in charge of them did not know now they worked and wandered off regularly. The clothes department is now huge and good for casual and work clothes but lacks the party going out range that tesco provides. the rest of the store is much the same as before but the freezer department is tiny. Also the staff are a bit mean when I walked into a trolley the other day one of saw and laughed at me. read more

The new and improved store is here! The clothing section is great, wide isles, yards of clohtes and from here it goes downhill. The food isles are narrower now, so making peak time impossible, espcially if people are loading shelves. Also their stock choice is less now as well. Which is a shame. There is an emphasise on using self checkout now, which should be quicker, however if buying alcohol or age related products the staff dont come to help, they are too busy packing other peoples shopping or talking amongst themselves to help. You have to approach them and get the rolling eyes look. I go in most days and sadly the customer care has gone down a lot. read more

This new store is far better than the old one! Its much larger and has a huge range of homeware and clothing all at good prices. The toy section is still quite small though. The staff can be quite unhelpful and are always running around to busy to help, i thnk they really need more staff!! The prices arent as cheap as Tesco or Asda but the quality of there fruit and vegtables is much higher! read more

This place is the best place that you must go, if you are looking for delicious and fresh products. They offer lots of fruits and vegetables that surely fresh and good quality. Very organic and health friendly. They also offer delicious and healthy breads, teas and coffees. read more

I have always liked Sainsburys but cannot afford to shop there all the time! I have recently been to this store which has undergone a refit and was very impressed. The restaurant has moved upstairs and is nice and large and airy with a fair selection of food and drink on offer. Moving the restaurant has made more room in the main store and again it is nice and light, airy and roomy. The fruit and veg department is large with a very good selection of items and, importantly to me, a lot of room between the aisles. In fact all the aisles have a good amount of room between them - something I wish Tesco had done when they had their fairly recent refit! There is a clothes section - it is not that large but has some good clothes there at good prices. Outside is a large car park which can be a bit of a pain to negotiate on the walk to and from the store and a petrol station. One thing to note is that the petrol station is self service. On the plus side this usually makes it far less busy than some of the other supermarket petrol stations and you do not have to spend ages queuing. read more

Used the cafe, certain staff were like praying mantis's wouldn't leave customers alone clearing tables before customers had finished eating. Removing sauces while customers still had meals. Worst of all sweeping the floor next to people eating. read more

A recently refurbished store which is now huge. Has a multi-storey carpark and a restaurant also a childs computer learning centre. Petrol station at front of store. Offers a very large range of food, homeware, toys, TU clothing, electrical and entertainment. I do not shop here as find the prices a little more expensive than other major supermarkets. But do pop in from time to time to look at clothes and other non-food items. read more
