Thank God that was the extent of it. I went online looking for a local electrician and found Danny with Calabreeze Electric -- (772) 971-1742. I'm so glad I did. Danny was extremely responsive -- and this was on a holiday! I scheduled an appointment for the following day, and he called ahead to let me know how far away he was and exactly when I could expect him. From the moment he arrived, he was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and very informative. He thoroughly checked the main electrical panel, the dryer outlet, and the electrical connections to the dryer. He made sure everything on the electrical side was working properly and safely. It looks like the lightning surge damaged the dryer's control board, but it was such a relief knowing that the wiring, outlet, and electrical panel had all been checked and were functioning as they should. I was so impressed with Danny that I'll be having him come back to install surge protection for my A/C and main electrical panel. These Florida storms do not play around! If you need an electrician, don't automatically assume you have to call one of the big corporate companies. Support the hardworking small business owners in our community. Treasure Coast Solar had installed a solar heater for the former owners of my house. I replaced…read morethe roof and had to have the panels removed and reinstalled on the new roof (this one is metal). I received a fair quote from Justin for the work. The roofing company gave me a short window to have the panels removed. I contacted Justin. He had his team respond quickly and they removed the panels and piping quickly. After the roof and new gutters were installed, I again contacted Justin and the team quickly returned and reinstalled everything and it worked great! Justin didn't want the finial payment until I was happy with the work. Throughout the process, Justin communicated clearly, he always beat his estimate of when he or his team respond. Finally, after the equipment had been in for over a month, a small pinhole leak developed in one of the pipes. I contacted Justin, he came out promptly and fixed the issue. He didn't try to isolate the issue to the old pipes (no warranty) or the new pipes (warranty). He just came out and fixed the issue. Which I think shows how he values his customers.

I had an electrical fire in my garage that completely blew out my electrical panel; it was a…read moremiracle the whole house didn't burn to the ground and that no one was killed. The fire dept had to shut down ALL ELECTRIC and GENERAC GENERATOR power to the house because of the on-going hazard. I had no power or water for over three weeks; it was HOT AND MISERABLE. My neighbor kindly let me run an electric cord from his house so I could at least keep my fridge and freezer working, but no AC, no lights, no water for 3 1/2 weeks. I had to flush toilets by siphoning water from the pool. And that is how I bathed. I was worried my dogs were going to have heat stroke; I was buying tons of ice and water to keep in their bowls to cool them down. Things were very primitive. The electric/generator company I had dealt with for years were unfortunately NOT responsive in my time of need and just told me they didn't have an electrician available, AND it took them 4-5 days to tell me that while Iso sat in heat and sweat, WAITING FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO ME AND MY CONSTANT CALLS. My neighbor recommended RAJ Electric who did exemplary work for him, by installing a new electric panel for him. I immediately contacted RAJ Electric and my initial contact was with Sylvia who was so genuinely concerned and empathetic to my predicament. Their schedule was FULL another few weeks, but within a few HOURS Johnathan (chief electrician) was at my house and by that afternoon I had an invoice that I could present to my homeowner's insurance so the repair work could proceed. Work began as quickly as possible in that Nicholas (another master electrician who normally deals with the generator department) overheard my conversation with Sylvia and took the initiative to consider my situation emergent and took it upon himself to get the team going in my direction. The men who came to my home were just incredible! ! So efficient and professional, so very helpful, so kind, and did a spectacular job of totally reconstructing my panel. It turned out the fire damage was a lot more than what was originally thought, knocking out FPL's wiring and my Generac generator as well. They got my generator working which was fantastic!!! Wonderful to be able to wash clothes, flush toilets and take a shower and have AC!!!!! Then they completed the rest of the electric work which was extensive to say the least. It was a MEMORABLE EVENT!!! Now all is well and all is replaced and running perfectly. I feel like I have a new family with RAJ electric as they will be taking over maintenance of my generator as well now. I will NEVER FORGET THEIR KINDNESS AND DILIGENCE IN HELPING ME GET MY HOME BACK IN ORDER. God bless to all: Sylvia who NEVER let me down, was always in my corner, always communicating with me, making a million phone calls to get the proper inspectors here, a real wizard. I am SO GRATEFUL TO YOU SYLVIA. To Nicholas, who is my FIRST hero for taking charge when Johnathan became ill and could not, a true Marine Military Man!! To Aurelio who WORKED SO HARD in the HEAT from early morning to late at night getting the panel put back together, and never even stopped to eat lunch. She was sincerely apologetic and had reasonable explanations for what happened both regarding my incorrect bill for $851, which has been adjusted to $186, and the non responsive phone calls. I will give them another chance.
