I have been a Sail Thru customer for a very long time. I have encountered several different employees over the years. In the very long history of attending I have been a single purchaser and a member. Both are a great value. I do wish their were air houses to blow out cracks in my car. I will also note that the vacuums seemed to work better at my last visit. What REALLY TOOK MY VISIT OVER THE TOP THOUGH, WAS CHRIS!!!!! CHRIS! You a re and exceptional young man. I have the monthly plan here, unlimited washes and it comes with free vacuuming. I love the hours, 7-7 so I can go before work. I also like that I can drive through a scanner and automatic gate and don't have to check in with a person each time. read more

When I got to the front I told the employee he was allowing people to cut in front of us waiting. I explained I saw two vehicles pass me while in line and he held us for them. Over the last several months, they've made a lot of improvements! This is noticeable, and makes my car so much cleaner! The car wash gets my car clean. The vacuums are stronger now and do a good job. And the attendants are attentive to scrubbing the windows and under my back window spoiler. The bug spray is a game-changer! It truly works! Now when I drive up and they ask if I'd like a trash bag or air freshener, I let them know I'd like the bug spray. Easy, quick, and effective!!! Don't worry about the line - it moves very quickly. It was almost to the street, and it took 8 minutes. Not bad at all! I love the unlimited plan for $21/month. It's a great value, and so nice to have a clean car whenever I want to drive through. The spot-free rinse works very well... which is super, considering how hard our water here is. The attendants are all so friendly; and they are consistent in their work ethic, communication, and caring. I appreciate that I always know I'll be treated well. I do not recommend this place because it is too short of a car wash. You are in and out in less than one minute and so if you have anything more than some dust on your car and you have bird poop bee poop mud or any of that stuff it is not going to get it off. They need to slow down the time and allow all of their devices to actually scrub your car otherwise you might as well just stay at home and rinse your car off with a hose. Before the current owners took over, it was a much better car wash. The wash now is far too fast to get anything clean. It's a complete waste of money in my opinion. The girls taking the money are generally very nice. But the second you ask the people at the beginning of the wash to scrub a little bit more they have an attitude. It was a gorgeous sunny day in Tehachapi and I had some time to kill. The car needed a good wash and Sailthru was near, so BINGO - car wash time! Sailthru was busy at noon on a Thursday. There was a line of about 6 vehicles in front of me. It didn't take too long but I certainly wouldn't come here if you're in a hurry. There's only one entrance. No fastpass section for Unlimited wash customers. The car was employees were friendly and efficient. The overall cleanliness seemed impressive. The car wash had several great features. I was a little shocked at how strong the air dryers were. It's definitely a little rougher than Cruz Thru. In all, it's a decent car wash for $10. Definitely opt for the $20/month Unlimited wash deal when they have it. read more

I was pulling my car into the car wash. I was guided by a young man. I didn't realize he was done guiding me. But he thought I put it in neutral a second to late. He slapped my windshield and started soaping it down. While he was soaping it he said F ING lady. He knew he wouldn't get in trouble because of the shortage of workers. Nothing happened to him. They didn't even talk to him. That's how much they care for their customers. read more

Staff is friendly. Other than that, you are paying full-service car wash prices for a gas station quality drive thru. I've given this place three tries. Each time I leave with just about as many bugs and water spots as when I came in. For $5 in tokens, I can do a much better job at the self-service wash a block away. Without any competition, I suppose you can offer a drive thru for full service prices. I will keep hitting up the far superior $8 wash at Costco down the hill. read more

Not only is the way they ring people up or even check the members the dumbest thing I've ever seen. My lord walking back and fourth to each car have they ever heard of a tablet or WiFi. But you can never tell if they will be open. Seems whenever I need a car was they are either backed up out to the street due to the way they do business or like today just not open. 4:50 pm on a Wednesday sunny and 86 out. I needed a car wash bad, so I pulled in this place the other day.... This place is fun, fast, and at a bargain rate! You do most of the work after driving thru the car wash, but to get unlimited vacuum time for $3 is not going to be found anywhere else. I went to this place during this past summer & I will never go back. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Prior to going through the car wash my car was moderately clean, but had a giant dollop of bird poop on the roof of the car, my main purpose for washing my car that day was to remove the few hour old bird poop from my car. After waiting in a giant line of cars for about 20 minutes, my husband and I were greeted by rude, unprofessional, young girls dressed in booty shorts and tight shirts and we opted for the $10 wash combo. We ended up going through the car was a total of THREE TIMES, and the car was still dirty. The giant glob of bird poop seemed completely untouched and it was obvious that the machine was missing that entire part of our car. We asked to speak to a manager and were met with a combative, middle aged man with a poor attitude. He then proceeded to scold me like a child, and tell me that I had let my car "bake out in the sun" and that's why the spot wouldn't come off. I tried to explain to him that the poop had only been there a couple of hours, but he had made up his mind, and called me crazy. I asked for my money back and he begrudgingly gave it to me, whilst screaming at me telling me I should go next door to the other car wash where they can help "crazy people", and he told me not to come back again. This was probably THE WORST experience I have ever had at a car wash in my entire life, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone with half a brain. read more

I try not to go here because their equipment never brushes the center back of my car. Even when I tip the help they can't manage to scrub the back of the car so that it actually comes out clean and I've never been here when I didn't have to go through twice. In January of this year I was in car wash and the bumper stops kicked my truck off the tracks causing the vehicle behind to push me through the car wash; as it remained on the tracks. I honked for assistance and the owner came to help; acted like it was my fault, denied visual damage to my truck and refused to take responsibility for the accident. A report was taken by an employee (a nice young girl) and stated I would be contacted with insurance information and auto body shop information. I have received no calls and it has been 2 weeks. I have left several messages with no return response to handle the repairs or re-establish the customer relationship. I've had a membership on my car for over a year, not the best washes, my car was always water spotted and the vacuums suck but I dealt with it because it was cheap. I recently bought another vehicle and added it to my membership as well. Today as I went through (with my new light bar added to my jeep) the windshield scrubber caught under my bar, pulled up on it enough to lift my jeep off the tracks, nearly ripping my bar off and spinning it enough to rip out the wiring. I did not stop and say anything as they were pretty packed and I know they don't do anything about after market parts anyways so no reason to have a shit fit. I went home and called to cancel my membership on the jeep and let the woman know they might want to, as a courtesy, let customers know that could happen if they have light bars. They warn you about a $5 antenna, I think they'd want to make sure you don't rip out a part that's not cheap and could cause a lot of damage. I wasn't asking for anything. And the lady rudely states "we don't cover any parts you add to your cars". Okay, I get that. I'm not asking you to. An apology for what happened would have been nice. But why be rude when I suggest you give your customers a heads up so it doesn't happen to someone else? Terrible customer service. read more

I went in to support a school fundraiser, & I won't go back, even for the good cause. It's great that a local business supports the schools. But my car is still dirty, I got blank looks when I asked for my wiper to be taped down (it was damaged on a previous visit & I don't want to have to pay again for repair), I still tipped them but wish I hadn't when I saw how dirty my car still is.
