What a great time! We met up with Captain Brian at the Marina Cafe and were sailing in less than 10 minutes. Boat stocked with coolers so we could bring snacks and water, iPod dock so we could play our own tunes and more than enough space for us to spread out. Got to experience a beautiful sunset over the bay, and multiple pods of dolphins. We even saw a manta ray! Capt Brian even had fishing rods and we had the opportunity to reel in a mackrel! Wonderful time last night cruising in Destin. We had CPT Bryan take us for a lovely ride on his catamaran. There was six of us plus him and we all fit comfortably on the boat. We packed our own little picnic dinner which was a great idea from Bryan. The cruise lasted about two hours. The view is gorgeous from all angles. The captain was gave us a lot of knowledge about the area which was very helpful for my sister who just moved to the area. I totally recommend this type of sunset cruise above all others! read more

Growing up, about 15 years ago, my family and I took private charters with captain, Bryan, so it was very fun to take a private sunset Cruise with my wife for our babymoon. Captain Brian and Sail Away a fantastic way to spend the day sailing the gulf. Capt Brian is fun, personable and doesn't know a stranger. We sailed with him from 9 - 3 and saw sharks, larger head turtles, on real big one, spotted eagle rays, dolphins and then we stopped and dove for sand dollars. During our sail Capt Brian set out a line and while sailing we trolled for whatever. Well we got a strike and I reeled in a King Fish, we took pictures then Capt. Brian released it back into the Gulf. We could not have asked for a better way to spend the day. If you want a great way to spend some time in Destin call Capt. Great experience! Captain Brian was a lot of fun, and very knowledgeable. He took us to several different locations, explained some Destin history, and really, it felt like our own boat for the afternoon--except we didn't have to pilot. We saw Dolphins, too. That was a nice bonus, since it wasn't a "dolphin" tour. There is a six person max on his boat, and he doesn't do mixed groups to reach the max every time. Some companies do. I really liked that because we only had four people, and we didn't have to spend the afternoon with another random couple, just so he could get more on his boat. The pontoon is very comfortable. He provided a large cooler, and had plenty of water toys. Highly recommend. read more

this is a must do if you have a group of 4-6 people. The price averages out to be cheaper then the big tourist boats when you have a group of six and your out an the water much longer. Brian is a super fun guy and knew exactly where to take us to see all we wanted. We saw dauphins, turtles and more and that was before we went snorkeling. Absolutely AMAZING!! The only way to go! We had 5 ppl and passed so many others boats with 50-100, who probably paid the same price per person that we did. Fishing excursions are 2-3x as much as Sail Away. When we were looking we started to get discouraged because others were so incredibly expensive. I'm so glad we called. Bryan was great to work with, nice, knowledgable and personable. You can tell that he really loves what he is doing. We did a sunset sail and took our boys to look for shells and snorkeling. They saw fish, hermit crabs, 2 types of jelly fish and had a blast. We even did hermit crab races. You can bring your own beverages and snacks. We left something on the boat and he found it a few days later and actually called us back and mailed it to us. He could have easily never called back, but he did. When we go back we will for sure sail again with Bryan. Thank you for helping create my boys best memories of our trip. read more

We had a great time with Captain Brian! Was so much nicer then the "cattle herding" tourist boats. My only regret is that we didn't do it sooner in our trip, we would have gone out with him twice if we would of have time. We did the 3 hour snorkeling outing and loved every minute of it.
