From day one, both Ms Jessica and Ms Megan are always welcoming and accommodating. Does not matter the time of day, I get a response to any message I send. The teachers are phenomenal. My 5 year old can name numerous insect body parts, count to 20 in Spanish, doing addition and subtraction on her own, solar systems, and the list goes on and on. She comes home excited about learning and explains in detail what she learned that day. For this age group, I know what a challenge they can be. Ms Mary, our whole family loves her. My daughter asks why she can't come on trips with us. She makes such an effort to love and support the children. She finds their interests and treats every child like they are her own. We have LOVED Montessori. If you are thinking of a school and are unsure, do not hesitate. It will be the best decision you make!

My son was struggling badly in school and we pulled him from our local school in the middle of 6th grade. Draper Academy and their staff and students welcomed him with open arms. They tested him and he was 2 grade levels behind in math and a bit behind in comprehension as well. This school was a place for him to rest, learn and recoup for a year and a half. He was able to relax, gain confidence in himself again and lovegoing to school every day! This school was such a gift for him. He is now in 8th grade and he just started at one of our local junior highs and we are a month into school and he has straight A's. He is flourishing and able to stay organized and is understanding his 8th grade math. As a father, I sought clarification from the school, but they have been avoiding me. My daughter, a 5-year-old girl, was playing with the daughter of the school owner, Jessica Rodrigues. They are very good friends. When her son, a 12-year-old boy, wanted to use the same room with other kids, the little girls said they would not leave the room. In response, this boy grabbed my daughter by her shirt and dragged her down the hallway to her mother, who was in another room. It is interesting that he did this to my daughter and not to his own sister, of course. When they arrived, she was crying, and my wife asked why she was all dirty. She replied that Jessica's son had dragged her down the hallway. Immediately, my wife reprimanded the boy, and everyone went their separate ways. Weeks later, I learned about the incident and insisted on speaking with the school principal, Jessica Rodrigues, and the boy's father. A 12-year-old dragging a 5-year-old girl is not normal behavior and can be considered assault. How can a school not have adults supervising the children? In any other school, this boy would have been punished, but apparently, this school lacks a code of conduct. This is unacceptable. As a father, I have every right to seek assurance that this will not happen again; I would expect this at any school, or my daughter would not return there. Until I can speak with the principal and the boy's parents, my daughter will not be going back to that school. My wife has tried to reach out to them, but they have said they do not want to speak with me. It is shocking that they can not be held accountable for such a serious incident. What this boy did is considered assault, and I do not feel safe sending my daughter there.

I came to this school when it first opened and stayed all the way through 6th grade. It was…read moreamazing, they allow you to learn in a way that is at your own pace. I was so bored when I attended a public elementary school but this school helped me to enjoy school. When I finished sixth grade I had finished learning all of 8th grade math content and was at a 7th grade reading level. The school is also very hands on, we did engineering projects, made things, and learned about real world situations. This helped me to not get burnt out and bored at school. We also learned about things that you typically don't learn about in elementary school, for instance in fourth grade a tool a philosophy class, and I learned about Plato's cave and other concepts. This school set me up for success. I now just finished my junior year of high school and have a unweighted GPA of 4.0 while taking AP, CE, and honors classes.
