Well after a fun family vacation that one last ride turn of course into a little bit of a scary accident. The surfboard came up out of the blue and smacked me in the face about 30 mph. After a fire paramedic and an RN jumped in and helped. Back on land we realize that I had hurt my teeth and my jaw I knew that we needed to call Dr. Yaftaly. Later we had a appointment set up the next day to see what I had really happened and make sure there are no broken bones or teeth. Dr. Yaftaly was amazing knowing what had happened and how painful everything was the first thing that they did was a x-ray to make sure there are no fractured bones or teeth. Even with the Xray she wanted to be super sure and did what anyone that just had a injured face would not want to have happen. She had to touch all round and make sure that there where nothing that the x-ray had missed. It was not fun and there where tears but she knew that it was the right thing to do to make sure that I was all clear. We didn't realize that there was a little bit of a chip on my tooth which she was able to fix quickly. My mouth was so swollen and at that point I would not be able to have anything done. She did want us to follow up with an Maxillofacial surgeon too. About two weeks after my night guard was not Fitting we did try to see if it would go back in sadly I did not and instead it almost got stuck. So we are able to call Suzanne and get an appointment to go in and see what the next step is to make sure I get a night guard that fits correctly and protect my teeth. We love our dentist family and how sweet they all are to us every time we're there. Accidents are never fun and are honestly kind of scary especially this one with a concussion. They took the time to make sure that I was taking care of and I was good. We would never go anywhere else when our family is right here!!! read more

Please beware of this place as they take advantage of elderly people specially with language barriers. My mother came in for a crown that came off and needed to be cemented on a month ago. She paid for the cement and the exam. When she went in the Dr did her exam but never mentioned any issues with her crown or existing work nor did she disclose that it may not hold. When my mother called to confirm if there would be a charge they wanted to initially charge her again for a new exam and the cement. We called to ask why as this would not make sense to charge for another exam when they did one a month ago so they agreed to waive it. As for the cement it also made no sense to charge and their response was that it could be due to issues with the tooth which is when we responded back saying why was that not mentioned when she got it cemented on a month ago. Dr Sahar did not disclose that it could be a temporary fix but instead let my mother to believe the issue was fixed. How can you charge a customer for a job and then try and charge again for the same job when it was only done a month ago. The fact that the response was that there could be issues with the tooth that leads me to believe that you did not do your job and you were negligent when you did your exam a month ago as the tooth would not have decayed in four weeks. read more

Ok so normally, I hate going to the dentist. Like most of us...! But I actually look forward to going to my dentist. Sahar is so amazing and her staff too. They are top notch. I clench my teeth a lot so recently I've had a lot of cracked teeth and had to get crowns and Sahar was so skilled and patient and fun! My teeth are in great shape now. She is honest, informative, and friendly. The office is well appointed, stylish and clean. You get to watch movies while they work and the ladies cleaning your teeth are so gentle and just sweet as pie. I have had such bad luck with dentists in Simi Valley - I've been to nearly all of them and they were horrible. Sahar and team are the cream of the crop. Really professional and highly skilled. Enough cannot be said about Doctor Yaftaly!!!! if I found her 20 years ago my teeth wouldn't have been in the condition they are in. I've been to many dentists and most of them are just scam artists. You go in they take x-rays and then they services that they want to provide for you. All they're trying to do is you as you were buying a car. This dentist office does absolutely amazing flawless work, everyone in there is nice as can be. Dr. Yaftaly is not only an amazing dentist but she knows how to run an office. I have finally found a dental office I trust! Dr. Dovidio and Dr. Yaftaly are by far the best dentists I've ever dealt with. They are both very nice and take their time to explain and answer questions even before you've thought to ask them. The other team members, from the dental hygienists to the office manager, are absolutely amazing as well. They are honest and don't recommend a bunch of procedures that aren't necessary, and work with you to maximize your insurance benefits. So happy to finally have found a great dentist in Simi! (Edit to add:) I've recently had a dental emergency, severely breaking two of my front teeth white I was across country. Dr. Yaftaly has gone above and beyond to help me through this process. She responded to me on a Sunday morning, I booked a flight back that day and she made an appointment for me first thing on Monday. From there she personally called the endodontist I needed to meet and got me an appointment with his office same day. She then made an appointment for me to meet with her Tuesday morning (even though the office is technically closed!!) so that I didn't have to go another day without my two front teeth. She has been incredibly kind and responsive. Never have I ever had this quality of care from any kind of doctor in my life. This office is truly one of a kind. I absolutely love and recommend this dental office. It was my first visit. I never experienced a dental visit like this one, they set the bar really high. Dr. Yaftaly and her team were so nice. They kept asking me how I was doing through out the procedure (X-rays and cleaning). The level of professionalism was outstanding. They measured my gums, practically examining each tooth, meanwhile explaining and walking me through what she was seeing and what it meant. It felt like I was a dentist-in-training! It was pretty great. Also, they showed me not only my X-rays but held a camera in my mouth to show me a live feed of my teeth. Wow. It was a great experience. May not of had particularly liked what I saw (plaque build up), but it gave me a completely different perspective of what's happening in there. I just happened upon this dentist when I was searching for a new provider here in Simi Valley. Talk about blind luck! I have found my new favorite dentist. So much in fact that I am switching the whole family over. They are absolutely wonderful here. They are very gentle and talk you through everything. I decided to return to this office for the first time and get a cleaning again last week. I was a patient here from 2013 to 2015. But then I went elsewhere and got medi-cal. But since I now am no longer on medi-cal, I decided to come back as my dad also comes here, and I just overall enjoy the inviting, family-like atmosphere that this office presents. Sarah, who is one of the hygienists, has such a welcoming and kind personality. She made sure I was comfortable throughout my cleaning and periodically asked if I was doing okay while she was cleaning my teeth. Went in for cleaning. Despite insurance would pay for another X-ray, dr decided it wasn't needed. I picked out a movie to watch and the cleaning began. No poking and prodding as I have experienced elsewhere, but rather almost falling asleep. They measured gum separation and advised on better flossing. Dr Josie came in after the polishing to do a final check. Really pleasant all around. Everyone in the office is pleasant and competent, not to mention easy on the eyes....
