After surgery, I experienced persistent…read morelight sensitivity, inflammation, poor contrast, glare, floaters, and visual disturbances that seriously affected my daily life and ability to function. For months, I was treated for uveitis and surface issues, but my vision did not meaningfully improve. During that period, one of the associate doctors told me I had "buyer's remorse." That was deeply discouraging. I was not unhappy with a purchase; I was struggling with poor functional vision after surgery and looking for help. After roughly six months of ongoing symptoms, I had to seek out my own second opinions. Another ophthalmologist identified a possible mechanical issue with the lens, and an anterior segment specialist later diagnosed UGH syndrome due to a lens haptic rubbing my iris, causing pigment erosion, along with vitreous prolapse. I am now scheduled for corrective surgery. I understand that medicine can be complex, but I wish my symptoms had been taken more seriously, that lens positioning had been evaluated more aggressively, and that I had been referred out sooner when I was not improving. I am sharing this so other patients with persistent post-surgical symptoms know to keep advocating for themselves and seek another opinion if something does not feel right.

I was totally relaxed knowing I was in good hands. The office staff is so friendly upon check in and the Technicians are also! I have recommended Dr de la Chapa to all my friends on Facebook, when I post my appointments. The local ones I send the Drs office numbers. So grateful and happy my optometrist Dr Ramirez referred me to Dr De La Chapa.

Last time I came, the doctor saw me for 17 minutes. No surgery, just info update and he checked the nurses review. I was there for 3 Hours! They have absolutely NO respect for anyone's time but theirs! I would bail but I'm at the end of my treatment. They gave me the wrong paperwork for my laser surgery. I had cataracts, the paperwork said glacouma (which I couldn't see because well you know) I caught the mistake & had to return on a Monday to resign the right one. So crowded few parking spots in the ample lot. All they needed was a signature. I waited for 50 minutes....to sign paperwork they could've left with the receptionist! Try hard to find a different place if you possibly can! They are so slow here, I took pictures of the structural damage from a car that hit the building 3 DAYS ago! No clean up, no board up...yet! What the actual hell?

It honestly feels disrespectful to the rating integrity to give this place even one star. My sister…read morewas referred by the ER and her primary care to this eye care center. She was having a medical emergency and as it says on the website, they are supposed to provide "excellent comprehensive medical and surgical eye care" and that they do "thorough eye exams". That description on the official company website is a deceptive description of the services she received. The doctor, Dr. Nancy Harrison to be exact, performed the examination on her and said her eye was dry. In spite of it being visible that half of her face was swollen and she had lost vision in the eye. Luckily she was able to get a second opinion from another eye doctor from Stanton Optical that noticed a scratch on her cornea. Now if the company site depiction was correct, Dr. Harrison was supposed to perform a "thorough eye exams". Now she is a doctor that has been in practice since 1990. So was it sheer negligence of patient care or the lack of effort that cause the misdiagnosis? Something a doctor that has been in practice since 36 years shouldn't be missing. If you genuinely want to have excellent care for your eyes, you would avoid this place.
