I like coming here for a quick but relaxing lunch during the workweek. Friendly service, rotating menu, and decent prices kept me coming here two to five (5!) times a week until I started to pack my own lunch because of work pressures. Still, I miss my little oasis here and given half an excuse, will find a reason to slip out of work and let my stress and worries melt away here.
I often decompress here during the midday over a pot of tea. The tea menu is not particularly extensive, nor are the teas particularly fine, but they are good enough, and always do the trick.
Table reservations are sometimes an issue, but I have always managed to get a seat, even if the last. Make sure to arrive earlier during the lunch break, because by the end they start running out of the various daily specials (usually beginning with the cheapest option, the salad).
By the way, if you ever see Krautwickerl on the daily menu, ORDER IT! It's a cabbage roll, and it is yummy in the tummy! read more
