What a gem! After 6 weeks of adventuring in the sun this summer, my face needed some extra love. Sage Spa styled me out! I choose the "Lake Water" facial with glycolic and am so glad I did. Wendy was clearly a pro and walked me though how my face was being nourished during the treatment. I especially LOOOOVED the cooling rocks that were placed on my face after the glycolic treatment. I went for it and choose 2 add-ons that made such a difference.... - I got a rad mini Intuitive Inisghts session (energy Healing/check in) that kinda blew my mind and helped me let go of some work "stuff" that was weighing on me. - I also got the LED Photon Therapy... that I'd been hearing a lot about lately. It was totally relaxing. And now (2 days later) I'm noticing my skin is so soft and brighter ... and looks so much more fresh! Also - the spa gift store was adorable with lots of locally made goodies. I had to snatch up a necklace and my daughter scored a ring. My kiddo also talked me into letting her make a DIY sugar scrub. I had an absolutely life changing experience. Wendy is one of the most gifted healers I've had the pleasure of working with. I came in, expecting a standard "I'm on vacation, why not" massage, and I came away having had what was easily the best massage of my life (I've had a lot!) plus some much needed energy work. Wendy could tell that I was experiencing a tough time, emotionally, and she got right into it, helping me release so much of the pain that I was stuck in. The experience was so much more than I bargained for, and exactly what I needed. She is a truly gifted intuitive and is an absolute joy to work with. My bestie and I went to sage on our girls weekend in July. The owner is genuine and does an excellent facial. You can tell she enjoys educating people on how to take care of their skin. She doesn't try to sell you products but will give you really great advice on facial care. My skin felt amazing and I looked noticeably better and less tired after. Things that I think are helpful to know is if you are not staying in Tahoe city give yourself plenty of time for traffic. We were 20 minutes late because of summer traffic gridlock coming from truckee. Also this is a very small shop - i don't think they can accommodate more than one person at a time. Usually my friend and I would be getting services at the same time. However the location is right on the lake so the view was amazing as I waited for my friend! I went 2 days in a row - the first day was my scheduled massage and cupping which was incredible. Pure bliss! This was my first time visiting SAGE and I am already looking forward to coming back! Wendy has a warm and calming presence that makes you feel at ease. I received a 30 min Intuitive Insight session followed by 60 min Deep Tissue massage while my partner received the 60 min Relaxation massage and let me tell you, we still can't stop talking about how much we LOVED our experience at SAGE. Wendy is so kind and offers warm tea, making sure that you are comfortable at the beginning of the session. She is so present in her work and really takes the time to get to know your needs and makes you feel heard and nurtured. After our session together I felt so light, happy and blissed out! My experience at Sage was awesome. I didn't know what to expect as an out of towner just looking for a massage that wasn't priced at resort levels. She could have charged me resort prices and I'd be happy to support! Fantastic relaxation massage with a vibration body tool that I'm now obsessed with finding. If you are looking for a spiritual/energetic healing session then you should go here. I was more expecting an full body massage. She immediately asked me about stressors in my life like work and old wounds when 1. I don't want to talk during a massage and 2. I certainly don't want to walk about my stressors. She then worked on my back and shoulders a bit and then held the bottom of my feet for the rest of the session. She didn't even touch my legs, or arms or much of my lower back. I was pretty disappointed and clearly there was a disconnect of what I thought I was signing up for vs what I got. I already do reiki regularly and pay a lot of that, I was looking for a physical massage here from days of skiing. She did a facial next which was good but I was already kind of stewing on the fact that I paid a lot of a massage that I didn't get. Just read what you're really getting here. read more

Stopped by this cute little shop on a Saturday while some friends were snowboarding. Decided to have a little treat myself day. Wendy was very informative and kind. We started off with a relaxation massage and it was just that. She was great with adjusting her pressure when I asked and knew all the right areas to hit (I'm a newbie with massages). Then we moved onto the facial. It wasn't the best facial I've had, but it was definitely cleansing (just wish there was a little bit more massaging involved). Wendy is a warm, gentle and caring person. She gave me an amazing deep tissue massage, and was able to really focus in on my problem areas. My body was so tight when I arrived, and after leaving it felt more like jelly. I was very relaxed, and over the next few days I really noticed what a difference it made and I felt my stiffness had melted away. I also was able to add on cupping and some electrical muscle stimulation which also really helped. Wendy is great at what she does. My massage with Wendy was SO GOOD. She's very reponsive when making the reservation and very welcoming when I arrived. I got the hour-long relaxation massage and by the end, i was extremely relaxed. She had a table set up where you could make your own sugar scrub or bath salts and setting up an apothecary. Im excited to see how everything is set up in the winter. I booked Wendy based off rave reviews from my boyfriend who randomly found her business during ski season. My job includes both physical, standing work as well as desk work so my body is pretty wrecked to be honest. I booked the 2 hour massage after being happily surprised that she was open during the June 27th weekend. And it was worth every single penny. With the current pandemic, she has hand sanitizer near the door and you and her wear a mask during the session. Wendy really takes the time to get to know your issues and pays close attention to your pain points. I booked the deep tissue massage and she did not let up on the pressure despite the long period of my appointment. She incorporates different techniques including stretches and silicon cups which I loved. Overall, it was probably the best massage I've ever had, especially at that price point.
