This review pertains to the performance of Jessica Ozuna with Keller Williams Realty Boise ("Boise…read moreGuru"). We reluctantly agreed to hire Jessica as our realtor after a recommendation from a prior (KW) realtor. We terminated our contract with Jessica for her failure to properly represent us in several instances. At the time, we were interested in purchasing a newly built home and investigated several possibilities. In each instance, Jessica demonstrated a lack of interest in our concerns, and minimized any issues that we brought up. In addition, during one negotiation, Jessica simply sat there looking at her phone and appeared disinterested in the process. She needed to be pulled aside during these negotiations to be bluntly asked what, if anything, in terms of a discount, she was going to get for us. Her response was, "did you want me to ask for $1,000 off?"; we requested a discount of $2,000; she took that direction, requested a $2,000 discount, but we only got a $1,000 discount. We raised several questions during escrow regarding the front porch columns, a set of "glazed" windows, and other build quality concerns. In each instance Jessica was of no help to us whatsoever. In fact, we felt we had a better chance of achieving resolution in directly communicating with the builder. Including Jessica in the communication loop with the builder only served to exacerbate the issues. Jessica became a source of stress, as opposed to a source of relief or comfort during the arduous "new build" home buying process. Any problem that did arise, we simply talked to the builder alone and weeks would go by without hearing from Jessica at all. For the most part she abandoned us, except on the few occasions when she contacted us with benign cursory comments about the home building process. Incredibly, Jessica was not available on weekends. Top quality, successful, real estate agents make themselves available to their client 7 days a week. Clearly, Jessica is not of this category. We would never recommend her. Lastly, it is abundantly clear that the priorities of the "Boise Guru" team is that of off-site "parties", photo shoots, book clubs, and coffee klatsches. It's astounding that they are still in business. Homes are currently "selling themselves" in Boise. Jessica exemplifies the realtor who deems it sufficient to simply write an offer with minimal negotiating skills or fiduciary responsibilities; ultimately, her job was more 'clerical' in nature. Again, we do not recommend Jessica or the Boise Guru team.
