We wanted to take the time to let you know how happy we are with the amazing work the team did and the excellent customer service we received. The project was fairly extensive; including replacing and extending the existing patio, renovating our pond and water feature, upgrading the retaining wall, screening our hot tub and adding outdoor lighting. From start to finish we really felt that you and your team provided excellent service. You presented us with a clear timeline and budget for the project and this was exactly what was delivered. Throughout the process, we felt that everyone remained very responsive, open to our questions and flexible with minor changes. The project finished on time and the quality of work was really great. We are very excited about the results and cannot wait to begin putting the area to use this summer with friends and family. Thank you to you and your awesome team and we will certainly spread the positive word about your company.

We needed a 100 year old Lava Rock Wall rebuilt after it was damaged by a fallen tree. The wall was 100 ft long x 3ft high with two returns. We are very pleased with the end result and would highly recommend them to anyone needing landscape work.

Dave, the owner, is great to work with. He is a good listener, conscientious, and has a good eye for design and working with what we have. On the maintenance side, Geronimo is kind and responsive. Their teams are careful and they do their best to leave everything looking great when they are done. In fact, after our recent landscaping, they weeded an area we hadn't asked them to do, which made their new landscaping look even better. It was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. They seem to work as a great team and have fun together. Their costs are competitive and lead times are reasonable, even during busy seasons. We'll definitely use them again.

They installed our beautiful paver patio with a french drain 5 yrs and did an awesome job!! We had no hesitation when scheduling PLS to power wash the patio and replace the polymeric sand. I asked Dave what the power washers PSI was, he indicated it would be a 3,500 PSI. We'd always used a battery operated 450 PSI power washer so I researched the appropriate PSI for washing pavers. Everything I read recommended a 1,000 to 1,500 PSI which caused concern. Given PLS installed the patio and our comfort with their services we trusted PLS and dismissed our concerns. A 4,200 PLS power was used to power washed the patio which severely damaged the edge of multiple pavers. Dave offered to look at the results. His response was "they did exactly what they were suppose to, to clean out all old sand. When he asked "what resolution would satisfy us"? My response was, I wish I would've selected someone else to complete the work. Short of that I wanted PSI to replace the pavers. Dave's response was, "they don't make that color any more". I'd file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau however PLS isn't accredited with the BBB. I also couldn't find PLS on the OR Landscape Contractor Board. We definitely won't be utilizing PLS in the future.

We asked him to come over and look at a tree that seemed to be in danger of splitting apart. Nathan "cabled" the problem area and the tree is still alive and happy. Since then, Nathan and his crew have tackled several jobs for us, from trimming a 20-foot high arborvitae hedge to felling a huge tree that had begun leaning towards the house. (He even took a minute to chainsaw-carve a little table and four little chairs for the grandkids from the tree's wood.) Overall, I had a stellar experience with Dave (the general manager) and his Sanlino crew…read more Throughout the process, my family and friends had to endure me singing his praises. At a time when it is extremely hard to find any contractor, let alone a good one, I felt super lucky to have encountered Sanlino... they exceeded my expectations almost every step of the way. I had never had any landscaping done before, and exchanged near-daily emails with Dave to answer my myriad questions and refine the contract details before I agreed to sign the contract. Their price quote was the lowest I had received of several landscapers, *and* I was super-pleased by his responsiveness in allaying all my concerns, so I felt pretty confident when I decided to move forward with them, and excited to have the project start. It was an expansive project that included installation of a hogwire fence, new cedar gate, new cedar retaining wall, cedar-cladding of an existing wall, placement of paver stones, installation of pea gravel, boulders, over a hundred plants and trees. I wanted a Japanese zen-style garden, and he guided the project--and my decisions--well in its creation. They started on February 1st, as arranged, and though the project ended up taking a few months longer than expected, there were a number of reasons for that (such as the ice storm, and) including replacing some plants that rabbits had unexpectedly ravaged and suggesting adding in more elements--repairing gaps in my cedar decking and fence, adding landscaping edging--to refine the look of my landscaping. I never felt like my project was abandoned, rather I was grateful that they did not hurry through my project just to have it done. And though there were modifications needed as things came up, I never felt nickel-and-dimed; instead, I often felt that they expended extra time and effort in order to meet my pretty particular needs. Dave and his crew were very respectful, and he generally gave me a good sense of when to expect them each day. I already had some landscaping plans from years ago when I approached him, and he worked together with me to determine the plant list (organically over the course of the project rather than pre-defined from the beginning) and arrangement of the plants, trees, and boulders throughout my yard. He repeatedly gave me opportunities to sit with a given arrangement for a while and let him know if I wanted anything moved. The guys that showed up were usually the same few (Carlos, Hector, Felipe), and it was comforting to have that continuity. Dave did a great job overseeing the work of his crew--he was keenly aware of what they were doing each day they were on site (and he himself was on site at some point nearly each day), and having them make adjustments as he deemed necessary. I was very impressed by Dave's level of commitment, his artistic eye in creating my landscape and artistic hand in building my cedar gate himself, and his very considerate and kind manner. I have heartily recommended Sanlino to my friends and family as I have been excited to share his level of service with them.

It always bums me out to write a bad review about a small, local business, but I have to be honest…read moreabout my experience with them as I had a similar experience to other low reviews here. Sent a quote request for a yard cleanup and bi-weekly upkeep to a few different own care companies, and they were the fastest to reply. They came out the next day, gave me a great price, and we scheduled the cleanup. They were late the first day they came, but we understood that things happen and didn't mind too much. I would describe the service they provided as "fine." They didn't do everything they needed to do, and when I asked them about the stuff that still needed to be taken care of, they said they'd come back to to finish it. That didn't happen - they just came back to provide the regular maintenance. They came a few more times, but each time it seemed they forgot something (no weed pulling, no trimming of the bushes, leaving bramble behind, etc). I really got the sense that they didn't care about providing the service; that was confirmed when they stopped showing up. We never had a conversation about it...they just completely ghosted us. I tried reaching out to them, but it was radio silence. Something else that made me incredibly uncomfortable is that they don't offer invoices. They just want payment through Venmo. As other people have said, this business can be unprofessional. My advice would be to pay a bit more somewhere else for more reliable service and communication.
