However, when I tried to explain to the hygienist past billing problems I've encountered (Nov 2024 being the latest) after my last two visits, the hygienist became upset and refused to provide the cleaning. She sent Dr. Marlow in to deliver that news. I explained my concern to him as I did to the hygienist. He said, "That's not how the message was conveyed." Consequently, rather than providing the service promised, I left w/out getting a cleaning. Of note: I informed the office staff about my billing concerns prior to agreeing to an appointment. I tried to communicate clearly my expectations regarding billing so that neither PVD nor I would later have an issue w/ the billing. If booking a patient and then refusing to provide care is the standard this troubled practice has adopted, those looking for a professional practice should choose a different one.

They did but it cost over $1,000. They would not clean my teeth until I had a DEEP cleaning. I came back and after they finished my 'deep cleaning' on a quarter of my mouth they charged me $250 and wanted to schedule me for 3 more appointments at $250 each. ($250 per hours seems pretty darn high) $1,000 to get my teeth cleaned seems like extortion. I feel they are taking advantage of me because I do not have dental insurance. I told them I will go to another dentist and get my teeth cleaned. The office and staff are very friendly.
