He administered novacaine with very little pain which included "roof shots". I am amazed since I had dreaded the injections almost more than anything else. The extractions took very little time. Throughout the procedure, the staff offered support and advice on the healing of my gums and follow up care. They also shared that I would need adjustments to my upper denture and not to hesitate coming in for that. I've gone in once and was pleasantly surprised and grateful for the adjustments made to the upper denture by another dentist in the office. Wow! Consequently, rather than providing the service promised, I left w/out getting a cleaning. Of note: I informed the office staff about my billing concerns prior to agreeing to an appointment. I tried to communicate clearly my expectations regarding billing so that neither PVD nor I would later have an issue w/ the billing. If booking a patient and then refusing to provide care is the standard this troubled practice has adopted, those looking for a professional practice should choose a different one.

In the mean time I went out of work for a heart problem. Left my job to find something less stressful that wouldn't cause the extra stress on my heart. I get a phone call asking for my updated address, explained my above mentioned condition and said I'll pay you as soon as I can, got the bill for 28$ and a call two days later. The very rude collection lady/office person told me and I quote. "We sent you one bill and it was returned, we called got your correct address and billed you again a few days ago. You need to pay this NOW. It costs us $20 per billing that we do not pass on to you." Now the last time I checked a stamp is less than a dollar, haven't mailed anything in years. Paper 1 penny envelope 25 cents. Lady one the phone yelling at me lets be generous $15 an hour, we spoke 3 minutes first call and 4 maybe 5 the next. So based on her math, I should have told her save 20 bucks by not billing me and let's call it even. Dr. Gillette if you decide to change offices, with your hygienist or have a new office staff I would love to continue with you as a patient however I will never step foot into Sage Dental ever again.
