Booked in for a curry before Kynren on a Saturday night, and we knew we were in for a treat from the scent wafting down the road as we parked up!
Made a booking but looked like we'd have been squeezed in without one; staff were very relaxed but friendly and welcoming. It did look a little overstaffed!
Menu was run of the mill - all the usuals you'd expect in a curry house - although the food was really tasty. We ordered the chicken jalpori and lamb jalfrezi: both included plenty of meats and thick, rich sauces.
There was a lot of choice for sundries, especially naans, and we opted for a tasty cheese and garlic naan, with egg pilau rice. Again good portions and very flavoursome, as were the chutneys with our poppadums!
The wine selection was sparse (only two reds on offer), and when I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon they brought white by mistake. However, the wine was pleasant enough and reasonable prices.
Certainly a great way to start the night before Kynren - lovely food and reasonable prices. Apparently they do takeaway too! read more
