Location is easy to find and plenty of parking. They have a small area with plenty of products. They offer all of their food mixes in various sizes, gift bundles, kitchen and chili accessories, local gifts, and a few tee shirts. I had talked this chef up to them because of his own self description. The grilled cheese 'special' (2) were flat, dry, barely grilled panini on a plate with nothing else, a plate so unappetizing it was shocking, as if the chef nor his server/wife did not have eyes to see it. I would ask them to look at this plate objectively. If You went to a restaurant and were served this- would you come back or Ever invite guests to come and be served THAT? So dry, one of my guests was dipping it in the balsamic on the table, the other didn't eat the crust. My husband who is just a regular guy with basic expectations-could not believe it. This was his brothers birthday and the sandwiches were so sad and pathetic, and our guests , one a hard outdoor worker, made excuses that they weren't really that hungry anyway. My husbands sausage bolognese 'special' ($17) looked out of a cafeteria. A bowl of spaghetti with mixed in meat sauce. Dull. No parmesan, no parsley, nothing. Came with a slice of Dry Bread! No garlic butter, not toasted- just dry bread. My grinder was fine. Same as all the sandwiches, on a white plate with nothing. My lady friend did not comment on her club sandwich. No one ordered dessert. The fact that many people see these plates go out and have the utter gall to serve them and not feel any sense of shame, nor say anything to this allegedly 'Italian trained' chef owner is Beyond shocking. This was not European, not Italian, not modern, just lackluster no effort. I was embarrassed for me, my guests having to pretend it was fine, and for the restaurant itself. They were friendly and courteous and checked on us frequently. I ordered the wedge salad and pretzel bites with beer cheese. The salad was great. It was fresh and the perfect size. The bleu cheese dressing was creamy and so delicious. The pretzel bits were as expected, and the cheese had good flavor, but was warm not hot. It was a little chunky, but I still ate it all. LOL! The in-laws ordered the nachos. They are not your traditional nachos. You get a choice of meat, brisket or pulled pork. They chose brisket. And you get to choose between fries or pork rinds and they chose pork rinds. They liked them. I didn't try them. They also liked the duck wontons. Hubby had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was pretty good. I loved the fries. I think they were hand cut, but I could be wrong. We had a great dinner!

I popped into the Chug to top off my tank. I pulled up to the pump, jumped out to start the flow of the go-juice, when I nearly had a heart attack at the prices of fuel. Even at the height of fuel prices, I had never paid $4.49 a gallon for mid grade unleaded gas in the Midwest. After putting a minimal amount in my tank, I went inside to "chat" with the employees. There I learned that Chug was "the only" gas station in the town or nearby. Therefore, they could charge whatever they wanted to travellers or to their own townspeople.
