I was game until the hygienist told me that if my kids couldn't sit still or keep their hands down, they had a restraint device sort of like a straight jacket they would use. I said "Or, we just try again another day since neither kid is complaining about sensitivity or pan and it's not an emergency". She disagreed and talked again about using a restraint device if necessary. My oldest lives on anxiety and I was not interested in subjecting him to this sort of trauma so I left for a second opinion.....and found a wonderful dentist who was so much better. He did fillings for my kids. Fast forward to 2023 and our dentist was let us know he really doesn't want to be a pediatric dentist and encouraged us to find one. So, we tried Sweet Tooth again. On the first cleaning and exam, they brought up their notes from 2021 and wanted to cap my little guy's teeth. I told them, he had 5 fillings done with the other dentist. The dentist straight up disagreed with me and said no he didn't. I asked him to check my kid's dental records. He said that wouldn't make a difference - my son had no fillings. I told him I sat there with him and watched each of them happen. He still disagreed. I left, got his dental records from the previous office (indeed, you can see all 5 of the fillings) and then drove 3 hours to Colorado Springs the next day to see a new pediatric dentist. The CO Springs dentist said 0 cavities and come back in 6 months for a cleaning and check up. We will never step foot in Sweet Tooth Alamosa again. I've never met a health care provider who was not interested in the history of their patient as it pertains to their office. And yes, undeniably, my son has 5 fillings.

It was under construction for a while, and it's looking really nice now. The PRO Therapy has one of the best physical therapists in the valley, Julia. She is great at her job. I have had 3 different physical therapists and she is far superior than the previous ones. If I could give her 10 stars and 5 thumbs up, I would. I have had mostly good experiences, I just have had to wait a long time before but hopefully with the new construction and check ins upstairs that will change in the near future.

They have fresh vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, and other products from local farms, as well as some snacks/drink/groceries. I'm crazy about fresh produce, so I instantly fell in love. No more grocery store veg for me! You really can't beat the flavor that farm-fresh food delivers. And the mushrooms here are Amazing. With a capital A. Trying to make it a weekly shop!

A very nice Amish woman laughed at my cowboy's jokes and asked me if I was related to another local. To my knowledge, I am not! Lol. The parking lot was gravel with unmarked spaces. A sleepy dog with wavy yellowish-brown hair greeted us gently, but immeditely went back to snoozing. Inside the semi-dusty country store was a surprising amount of everything one could possibly need in a pinch: + dried beans and pastas + nuts and all the baking goods + pie filling + canned goods + household supplies + personal hygiene items + cold drinks and snacks + cat/dog commodities I picked up a jar of locally-made blackberry jam, apple cider vinegar, and drinks for the kids all for under $13. Keep in mind that items like dented canned goods and some smashed packaged items are sold with deep discounts. They do not sell much meat aside from the canned variety. I paid cash for our items, but they do accept plastic. I will definitely be here in the future. TIP The store is open daily except on Sunday 9AM-5PM. No one in the Valley seems able to solder the bridge back to the rim, and I'm blind and helpless without them. Kayla spent nearly an hour trying to find any frames in which she could fit these massive, "coke-bottle" lenses. In the end, she found a donated frame (free!) that will work temporarily. She provided suggestions and moral support [this was on top of any number of other issues, being the straw breaking the proverbial camel's back]. Most notably, she took the time to look up the make and model information of my (of course, discontinued) frames so that I could buy a cheap pair on Ebay ($40), then offered to put my lenses *back* in the new frames, once delivered, to keep me from having to start from $1,000 square one. This kind of humanity and kindness to a stranger are all-too-rare these days, and I'm so thankful to have met her on this otherwise rough day. My own (previous, 6-years of patronage) eye care place shrugged and said, "sorry, nothing we can do." Kayla proved them wrong simply by not giving up on me.
