I shop on line and take advantage of the drive-up and go format offered for orders $35 and over. You can utilize the service for less at a $3.50 charge. I generally shop the sales and plan my meals around them. Since I only cook twice a week it works well for me. Their app is easy to use. The associates are helpful and pleasant to deal with. I place my order, reserve a date and time then move on with my day. They notify me before they start shopping and let me know if there are any issues like out of stock items and always letting me know what replacements are available. They will also match the prices if replacements are requested. When the order is complete they notify me by text it's ready for pickup and will hold it until 8:00 in the evening. When I'm on my way I just click on the app to let them know, pull into the marked pickup stall for this service and click again to let them know I'm there. There is a code associated with your order, show your code and your groceries are loaded in your trunk or back seat or wherever to desire. As you can tell, I'm a fan!

February 2025: I had a great experience recently thanks to Safeway's outstanding customer service. Took me quite awhile trying to figure out how to process a digital coupon for yogurt. Finally found a worker named Dorian to help me. He was busy but gladly stopped what he was doing. I already had the Safeway app so that was a plus. Dorian enthusiastically walked me through the process and shared other information regarding the app including checkout procedures. His positive attitude made my experience less frustrating and motivated me to familiarize myself more with the app. I managed to convince Dorian to pose for my 5-star review. Mahalo for the help!

This is where you can get your fresh salmon poke bowl. Second store on the right. Safeway.

The salmon poke bowl at Safeway Waimalu plaza with scrumpalicious.... if that's a word. The salmon was fresh with crispy onion slices, the rice was perfect, add furikake, at only 12 bucks ....totally money well spent.

I love $5.00 Friday's at Safeway stores.... Every Friday different items are on sale for $5.00. What a deal. Safeway has very fresh vegetables and fruits and many times you can find items you can't find in local grocery stores. Floors are clean, aisles are wide so easy go around when another customer is shopping and you can always find someone to help you and this is a huge plus. I love their beautiful flower selection. Always fresh and full of color and the bakery makes fresh breads and delicious sweets daily. Lots of parking and they even let customers use the restroom.... Another huge plus....

So I'm commenting on the way the cut fruits are sold. I mean today I spent $5.99 on a bowl of fruit. I'm on the go so I figure ahhh eat fruit, it won't be messy while driving. GEEEZ LOUISE!!! the fact that each of these pineapple cuts was so big that they could be cut in 4's or maybe even 6 pieces each pineapple blows my mind. I was so hungry, I tried to take a bite of one (smallest one). All the juices dropped on my clothes and the pineapple core was still intact! ‍. Then I drop that one, try another one. It was over ripe. You could taste that yucky old taste and it just ruined it. I tried to finish the first one just so that the over ripe taste stuck in my mouth went away. I mean....it's so upsetting to think I'm paying for inedible parts of a fruit. Pays to try to be healthy I guess.

That's right I found a grocery store saving my money #SafewayMember

The Safeway is across the street from Pearl Harbor .Only the breakfast necessities. Bananas coffee pastries oranges and honey. We found the best way to save money was to eat breakfast at home! I love how cute they decorate this place! Go big or go home!

Safeway in Waimalu is currently 1 of 4 Safeway locations that has the City & County car registration kiosk. And because Safeway is opened 24 hours, you can pay your car registration at a time that is convenient for you. The kiosk is so easy peasy! In and out in no time, it's as easy as making a money withdrawal from a back machine. The directions on the screen is big and easy to follow... After you pay, you'll receive an updated car registration and the car registration sticker preprinted with your car license plate information. There is a sign: machine will not accept secured credit cards or payment with multiple credit cards. My first option to paying for my car registration, will always be using this kiosk. When entering the store, the kiosk will be on your right, next to the bank machine, near the baked goods. Tons of parking!

The best spicy tuna from a grocery store. But it is only at this Safeway. Other locations don't compare. Not sure why but lucky me.

I only buy items that have discounted prices. Safeway always has lots for me to buy. Sale prices are good and employees are friendly.

For a change of pace we came here today and had a blast, why? Aisles are wide and clean. Merchandise is different. Their meat and veggie selections were varied and what I'd cook. We even bought lunch: Korean spicy bento for hubs and I tried the Cold Noodle Bar & the hot food counter to try the ahi patty and sweet potato tempura. The garlic fried chicken looked so yummy but then I saw a fly on the tongs. Maybe another visit. Total at the register was $167+. We had a nice grocery shopping adventure today.

These selections come with rice and your choice of Kim Chee, pickled onions or pickled cucumbers. I ordered the Char Siu Pork, Spicy Bulgogi and Teriyaki Chicken bowls with either pickled onions or cucumbers. After we all started eating, I realized I forgot to take pics of the food. The following is what they're offering: - Monday: Kalua Pork Burrito - Tuesday: BBQ Bowl - Wednesday: Loaded Nachos - Thursday: Noodle Bowls - Friday: Kalua Pork Bowl, Mini Bento, $6/lb. Hot/Cold Bar, Select Sandwiches The 2 guys that were serving the food was very nice, helpful and friendly. Not sure if other days have more than one choice like today but I'm definitely coming back to try something else.

They looked like they were truly dedicated to their jobs - and liked helping people. The pharmacy clerk was especially helpful both on the phone and in person. She handled my different needs patiently and efficiently. In addition, another pharmacy tech, who looked like she was on her way out, stopped to ask if I needed help while I was filling out a form. Can't forget the pharmacist who was very confident in giving me the vaccine, despite my bad reactions to medications. She made me feel more relaxed. Afterwards, she said I could rest and wait a few minutes if I needed. Check-out was another pleasant encounter. Jason was surely on-point! He reached for my reusable shopping bag even before he was finished with his current customer. While Jason, rang me up, he informed me about the price and type of avocado I was buying. Just to make sure I knew what I was getting. Kamrin quickly bagged my goods and placed the receipt in. It was a nice change of pace. I had to thank Jason for his excellent customer service.

There is nothing better than a freshly baked bagel, except a fresh chicken musubi. I do enjoy the furikake being mixed into the rice and not clumped up under the meat. The chicken is boneless white meat, lightly seasoned, lightly hand breaded and fried. So lovely for breakfast! Definitely NOT a Foodland Farms, with a salad bar, hot bar, juice bar, etc..but a much loved store in the Dillingham area. So much parking, even though there is ongoing construction next door and the morning staff are so nice and helpful! Treat all customers like family. Thank you Foodland!

Unfortunately since we were traveling, we didn't want to buy so much food and end up with leftovers. Instead of buying two servings of the poke bowl, I think we would have been better off sharing because eating the whole bowl as is, got tiring for us. We also did have another poke place earlier that day and felt Foodland's poke was not as fresh. Service was ok, wished they would have explained the menu a bit, but maybe this is more for locals. Since this was in supermarket, ambiance for eating isn't really a thing here. I do wish they had some seating inside or even outside to enjoy. I'd probably recommend Foodland's poke for value.
