However, the VAM (Voice Assisted Manikin) system was super easy to navigate and I loved how the VAM provides personalized feedback on your depth and rate during compression/breath. The company also does a really good job of providing all the instructions you may need. There is a video on their website on how to access the suite and multiple videos available providing you tips on how to successfully pass the exam with the VAM.

Our cohort was repeatedly assured that major changes to the testing format would not affect us. However, just two days before an assessment, we were informed that the new format would, in fact, be implemented. This directly contradicted what students had been told throughout the program. Since these changes were introduced, students have repeatedly requested additional support, such as NGN workshops, remediation sessions, practice assessments, and guidance on how to approach the new testing style. Those requests have largely gone unanswered. As a result, many students who were previously successful are now struggling, and a significant portion of our class is failing during the final term. To make matters worse, students are often tested on material that is not adequately covered in assigned resources, lectures, ATI content, or course instructions. Rather than providing the tools needed for success, the program seems more focused on pushing students through while collecting tuition payments. Nursing school is supposed to be challenging, but it should also be organized, transparent, and supportive. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. If you're considering this program, be prepared for constant changes, poor communication, and a lack of meaningful support when students raise legitimate concerns.

I ain't gonna lie, I was a little bummed that I had to pay $75 to get re-certified, instead of taking the class for free. But I eventually sucked it up and got over it, because I needed to take it. Anyway, with that said, it was a good investment. The class was super fun and the instructors were not only informative, they were entertaining! No feelings of wanting to stab my eyes out from boredom. The instructors were honest and they didn't sugar coat anything, which I like. Classes were about 4 hours long, which covered Adult & Child CPR and all the other stuff that's a basic requirement to get you certified.

She genuinely wanted every student to succeed. Each lecture, she shared insight from her professional experience, gave plenty of examples of how different scenarios would look in practice, and always welcomed discussions when something wasn't clear. During clinicals, she provided so much guidance and support, followed by thoughtful debriefs at the end of each day. She took the time to connect what we learned in theory to the real patients we worked with, which made everything make so much more sense. Miss Didi prepared me incredibly well for the state exam. I felt confident enough to take the written exam the day after graduating and the skills exam three days later, passing both with flying colors. Additionally, Mr. Dell and Dr. Marilyn were extremely supportive and checked in often to make sure we had what we needed throughout the program. I wanted to add that while MCC does not guarantee placement to a facility with their program, it is important to note that there are A LOT of opportunities for networking that Miss Didi and MCC offers. For my class, Miss Didi had several administrators and DSD's speak with us about their facilities, offering insight, applications, and contact information should you decide to apply. I just interviewed for my top choice facility and have been offered employment contingent on passed reference checks, background check and fingerprinting. I graduated from my program 8 days ago. I'd never worked with a personal trainer before, especially not with one who I was hoping to work almost exclusively outside and on "natural" equipment with. Luis was attentive, thorough, and respectful from our first interaction. We chatted by phone first to discuss my interests, my needs, pricing, and time commitment. He had all the paperwork and waivers prepared for me to sign before day one. He showed up on day one with a binder full of his credentials and certificates and insurance. I could tell Luis was experienced and focused and ready to make the most of our time together. I've noticed significant improvements along every axis I initially requested to work on and along several more that Luis correctly identified as important for my sport specific performance and general fitness. We've done most everything in the MovNat book (rolling, climbing, vaults...) and continue to find new ways to challenge strength, endurance, coordination, and balance (e.g. trx trainers). I was reluctant to even…read morego to any breastfeeding class because it was important to me to not be attached to the idea of breastfeeding, and I was worried I'd be beaten over the head with how important it is and set myself up for mom guilt if it didn't work out. Quite the contrary, the speaker was really approachable and practical. She talked through just about every scenario and offered a really great mindset - feed as much breastmilk as you can whenever you can, and it's totally OK to make up the difference with formula. Unfortunately, the baby care class dropped this down to 4 stars. It was borderline a waste of time. The instructor was scattered and not very helpful. Lots of tech challenges. Not much help in the way of answering questions or providing practical advice. Very limited hands on practice. I went with a friend because my husband was out of town and I was almost embarrassed that she wasted time in that class with me.
