We're kicking off the new year in search of a better pool service company than Sweetwater Pools…read more The subpar reviews on this app align with our disappointing experience. Here's why we don't recommend Sweetwater Pools... Inexperienced technicians - unable to answer the most basic maintenance questions. Disrespectful to property - the technicians would disassemble our pool skimmer, using the pole to mix their chemicals (that's fine!), but then not put it back together. We repeatedly asked them to put it back the way they found it to no avail. It felt lazy and disrespectful. Zero communication - really hard to get anyone to call you back to address concerns or questions. To sum it up, we never felt like Sweetwater Pools valued our business or ever tried to salvage it. You have been forewarned.

Not a very good experience with Sweetwater Pools, we needed our pool cleaned after it was opened…read morefrom another not so pool friendly company, we agreed on the contract, made the monthly payment, almost 2 weeks later a guy from there comes out to clean and get the pool ready for summer, he only vacuumed half the pool, and dropped 5 3" tabs in the strainer basket and then he left, his "supervisor" then came out couple hours later, said he would have everything done even if he had to come back out and vacuum again, well he left to after about an hour, sides of the pool were not cleaned, debris still on the bottom of the pool, empty chemical bottle left on the pool deck, left and never heard from him again, called Saturday, spoke with Management but since he is management North, he could do anything, Monday I called the office, told them everything that was and was not done, I was told that the pool techs report stated " the pool was cleaned, chemicals added, and the deck was cleaned up with a leaf blower" I think its pretty sad when employees tell stories to there employers to make themselves look good while making a PAYING customer look bad. Not one word of sincerity or offers to help get to the bottom of the situation, I told them to cancel my NEW account, and was told "ok, have a nice day". out XXX.xx for 5 chlorine tablets and some bottle of chemical!!

I would NOT recommend this location for parents who are concerned of swim safety. Parents are not…read moreallowed to observe students in the small swim pool and you can't see what's happening during the class. They put two classes in the small pool at the same time and the class in the inner corner is completed blocked by the wall. It can't be observed at all when you sit in the parent area where they designated for parents to sit. There are also no other staff to observe the class to sure safety. Students who swim in the small swim pool are those who can't swim and still learning. And at their age, they don't always listen and follow the rules and need monitoring for safety. An incident happened to my daughter as she was pushed by a boy behind her walking to the other side of the swim pool, and the coach didn't see what happened (when my daughter got pushed and scraped her pinky which caused 1cm skin came off her finger). As my daughter cried, she was asked to "keep moving" as the coach didn't see what happened. As I was talking to the coach to understand what happened, she was not able to articulate what she saw "as she didn't see anything". Luckily, she is old enough (5 yo) to describe the situation. If she were younger or can't articulate, I would have no idea what has happened. Management is also not kind at all and not doing their job. They didn't want to file an incident report after what happened until I asked for a few times. After I obtained the report and return back to the swimming area (before we leave), one of the staff named Natalie (who proudly announced her name) immediately followed us warning us if we make a scene, she will have us removed. We didn't pass any of the areas where the management said we are not allowed to walk into. Throughout the process, no one in the school apologized nor showed that they were sorry what has happened - it makes us feel we deserve it and they only want to get rid of us. Also, they didn't have a proper first aid kit to wrap my daughter's finger. They provided a thin small (which they called standard sized bandit) and I found difficult to cover my daughter's wound area.

We had a great experience with Swim Dynamo for several years and HIGHLY recommend Coach Martha and…read moreTom. Unfortunately, the club did not handle an injury well with our daughter as she became a more advanced swimmer. Her "new" coach was more intent on the team winning than earning the trust and respect that a good coach would usually deserve. Which includes creating a welcoming culture, telling athletes to listen to their bodies and ensuring that he/she is PATIENT. We changed clubs as a result of Joey and had no problem doing so as every other coach was very happy to work with a high performance young teenager and help her get "competition ready." Coaching is a seminal component in a teenager's life and we did not feel comfortable with his attitude or interactions with the kids. Mike seems like a great CEO, but not well-informed by the coaching staff -that could be a result of the head coach who we never heard a word from. I would make sure to spend time talking to the coaches before picking Dynamo, depending on the child's age.

There are many things we have loved about Dynamo. My oldest is 17 and my youngest is 14. Out of the blue (or perhaps not so out of the blue because it was literally the day the Oakhurst Coach gave birth), Dynamo eliminated its high school program at Oakhurst with 3 weeks notice. No goodbye to the old coach, leading to sobbing and angry teens. The also not so best part was that they offered a 4pm practice when high school kids in this area get out at 3:45 6 miles away from the new location. Not sure if this was pregnancy discrimination or just awfulness/rudeness, but Dynamo has changed. I did try to reach out to the head coach and got a nasty note back from the Board Chair. You can't count on them to offer consistency, which I think was a hard lesson for my kids and for me since that's what they claim to sell. The City of Decatur should definitely take the Oakhurst pool back from Dynamo.

He not only learned how to survive and swim in the water, he learned to love the water. Now he wants a pool in our backyard. ISR are ten minute swim lessons everyday for up to six weeks. Ten minutes doesn't sound very long, but the kids get tired. They are being instructed the entire ten minutes. The instructor, Mr Mike, is phenomenal with the kids. He gets down to business from the second they enter the pool until the end of the lesson. He is a professional swim teacher and not just a someone who was on swim team in the past teaching swim lessons. Your kid will learn to float/swim, guaranteed. My 22 month old learned to float/swim from the middle of the pool to out of the pool by the 4th week or so. Before we started I was a little nervous about how Mr. Mike was going to teach my baby to hold his breath underwater and flip to his back to float. I was pretty sure my baby was not going to understand the directions given to him or handle the lessons well. He screamed for the entire first week of lessons (Mr. Mike is used to screaming kids and handles it very well), but he made it to the end of the six weeks floating/swimming to safety. The whole process is pretty fascinating to watch. And seeing your child increase their skills and confidence in the water each day is extremely rewarding. ISR was definitely the best way to get my apprehensive children comfortable and confident in the water. This will be our fourth year with Mr. Mike. Our first graduated out of the program swimming like a fish, our second is having a 2 week refresher course, and our third will be starting his first lesson in June. Mr. Mike teaches from his home in dunwoody. He has an outdoor and small indoor pool and teaches year round. He teaches kids from 6 months to 6 years and offers two week refresher courses after the first year.
