I walked in with my friend and we don't have much knowledge on the devices in the store but figured we'll look around and see if someone can help us. We asked numerous small questions and I'm sure this is the owner for the way he spoked to us he pretty much kept belittling us for not knowing anything he knows about vapes. I tried to be patience with his attitude building up towards us and he just kept getting mad we didnt know anything and my friend and I frequently apologized but honestly we shouldn't have to. I told the owner we were all set and we tried to leave and he called both of us stupid and I told him he was being aggressive and called us idiots. We exchanged cursed words leaving the shop. This is the worse owner to own a business he is aggressive and honestly not safe. I entered the store and attempted to discuss a bottle of eliquid I purchased that was damaged and leaked in my pocket with the seal intact. You were aggressive and upset that I even brought this up. You offered a cap from an empty bottle, but were not happy to give that up to begin with. You rescinded your offer of a cap because I explained I'd be getting screwed over by buying a damaged bottle from your store. You said you don't "give a shit" about me or the friends I have brought to you store. You told me to "go fuck myself" and to "get the fuck out". There is no way you can be in the right in this situation. I was literally in Silver City a few weeks ago, a man came in and complained about the liquid tasting bad and they replaced it ON THE SPOT. Not that the bottle was damaged, just that he thought it tasted bad. That is proper service. You berated me and my friend. You were irate from the very beginning. You insulted my intelligence, said you don't give a shit about customers, told me to get the fuck out, and told me to fuck myself. You had your friends sitting in the store and put on an act for them thinking it was funny. Totally inappropriate behavior from the owner of a business. You most definitely have unaddressed anger issues and I truly feel bad for whoever is on the receiving end of that going forward. Your handling of this situation also shows your immaturity. In the review I posted, you called me a liar. I opted to delete that review because it wasn't constructive. I decided to write a new one to explain the situation. You posted a passive aggressive status on your company page attempting to call me out, which you have since deleted. The original reason I even set foot in your shop was to purchase a box mod, the liquid was an afterthought to me. You almost instantly told me I broke the cap instead of admitting responsibility that your store received a bad bottle. Luckily, I live about 10 minutes from CT Vapors, and they've been nothing but great to me. I even got a free pair if 18650s with my new mod! I recommend people to not go to this store. Barry is an aggressive man who treats customers with problems like their scum. If you spend your money elsewhere it'll at least go to a decent person. EDIT: Barry is now leaving me personal messages on my Yelp page. He claims I attempted to return open juice. Not the case. He claims that because the bottle is child proof that there is no way it could be defective. Not the case. He asks if I would go back to the package store if I had purchased a bottle of wine with a bad cork. I would, as that makes sense. Most upstanding people would replace a defective product. I just don't know, I walked in today with a question and buy the time I left I felt like quite the idiot, incompetent jerk for not knowing everything. I was practically being screamed at by the owner. I have bought stuff there in the past and have had sort of similar experiences but not this bad. He is like the vape Nazi from Seinfeld, oops, I mean the soup Nazi I guess. I guess when you walk in there and want to buy some juice, don't ask any questions because you will be belittled. I've been going to this shop for a few years now and it is a great store and a nice and friendly environment. Barry is a great owner and a great salesman. The prices are a little higher than others stores however his rewards program makes it all worth it plus he includes batteries with every box (or item that needs a battery) for no charge. I've only ever had good experiences and can understand that not every customer experience will be the same as mine however I do recommend this store if you haven't gone before. read more

I was looking for a local retail vape shop close to where I live which is in Hamden, Ct. Searching on Google I found this place and discovered they are literally around the corner from me! I was pleased as I've been ordering my e-juice online and the shipping fee I could do without. I went onto their website which I found uninformative to say the least. I couldn't find a list of their flavors, nicotine counts or even a hint of sizes they may or may not offer. I called ahead and spoke to a young man who was equally blank in the information dept., so I drove over to see their stock. Although it appeared they had quite a bit, when I asked what they had in a 12mg. nicotine the sale person response took me back a bit! He said that 12mg. of nicotine isn't something they normally stock as it's too high!? Isn't that up to the customer as to how much nicotine they like? In any event I ended up buying a 60ml. bottle of the brand Naked. When I got home I tried it and much to my surprise it was delightful! However,I noticed that the exp. date was over a year old. As I'm not sure what exactly that means I googled it and honestly it's not a dangerous thing it says but over time loses flavor and the nicotine fades. I called the shop a little while ago to bring it to their attention and get their take on it. The owner(not the person that help me) answered the phone and when I relayed to him that it was expired, he started yelling at me saying that the particular strength I got was not popular(I suppose that's the reason it's expired) and to bring it in and he'd exchange it for another flavor. I told him I really liked the flavor and that it was fine. I never implied I wanted my $$ back or that I wasn't going to do business with him etc...I merely said if it loses flavor I'll be mindful of the exp. date next time. The owner berated me quite loud I must say screaming at me the entire time that if I were to bring it back half empty in no uncertain terms would he honor a free exchange!! I didn't ask for or desire a "free" exchange! I told him I don't appreciate being berated and then offer me a different product, different flavor, who knows what for strength. He obviously doesn't have any business sense, and is quick to anger! My advice: Don't waste your time. There are plenty of vape shops around that want the business and don't find it necessary to scream at their new(not anymore) customers. Hey sir? Some day that temper will get you in deep trouble...if it already hasn't. Imo? it's a miracle you are still in business!! I've been to many vape shops around the area and I have to say I've never been more unsatisfied then after leaving this establishment. On numerous occasions Barry, the owner and soul worker of the shop, unfortunately failed to answer basic questions about the products he was selling, making it hard to trust that it's a real product rather then a faulty clone. Also, compared to other shops in the area, he has significantly less stock of juice and hardware making it an undesirable stop. Also he was very quick to get hostile about returns of faulty or not working products. Every shop has its flaws however, it's hard to find any upside to this shop. read more

I'll give it two stars because Barry is a good sales man, but I guess it's to be expected after having a background in car sales. He legitimately knows his products and pitches you a nice game, although when it came to an unsatisfied customer he was pretty quick to flip the switch, in an entire room full of people mind you. I purchased a pretty hefty setup from this shop totaling $200+ dollars and upon adding new juice ( second time filling my new tank ) the swivel head on the Smok tank seemed to be malfunctioning it was off center and was fairly difficult to close. I went back to this shop to see if it could be exchanged and Barry avoided this at all costs. Two other gentlemen in the shop had the same tank as me both were perfectly fine and agreed that it was not normal. Barry said this was normal and said I was having " buyers remorse ". I did not want a refund, but a simple exchange for a product that functions properly. I'm not one to make a scene so I walked out of the shop and simply won't be going back. Do yourself a favor, order your products online, and find a better shop to get your juices from. They won't warranty a faulty product at this location. read more

I would have to agree with Danny l and Eric p about safer vapors it looks like a great vape shop when you walk in but A look a little closer Will reveal the owner Barry is selling fake merchandise and then when there's a problem and a customer brings back The merchandise like myself to get an exchange or refund variable comes noticeably agitated and tries to give excuses on why it's messed up I bought A Kangertech product from him that I had problems with the first day I got it I brought it to him and he said I "it wasn't like that when you got it from me" and then proceeded to hem and haw and tried to get my thing to work and couldn't gave me a loaner device to use for that day when I came back the following day my item still wasn't fixed so he gave me the same thing just in a different color from another product identical to mine that was busted so I would highly advise not to buy any hardware from Barry at safer vapors or anything for that matter! read more
