However, aft-deck, engine bay and cabin detailing was a joke. That was an approx $1500 service. If the space is not accessible to water spray or vacuum, it does not get done. On aft-deck, all Storage lockers full of sand and mud. Even door to cabinet to deck fridge not opened to check- full of sand. Likewise in cabin, no drawers nor ledges got cleaned. Detailings does not mean the same thing at Mirror Image. Buyers beware.

Just before arriving in Port Clinton, we noticed a terrible noise when applying the brakes. The next morning, I decided to try to get my car repaired. Mike is talented at his craft, I would say this because what Mike does and the way he does it is nothing short of a mastered skilled trade. Last year during Covid when boating season was at its peak and I had just purchased a Carver Motor Yacht I needed some help. Although Mike was very busy he made time in a compliant setting to work out the details of completely refurbishing the canvass, upholstery and Glass. We even worked through the design of converting The boat box and coolers into additional padded resilient bench seating. OMG was that a great decision. Additional seating for 6 and what a great opportunity to work through an issue with Mike, where at the end of that project he left me with value that a person just can't put a price on, but he did and it was more than fair. I have found Mike to have top of the line creativity, better than best quality, very fair lead times, and pricing that really doesn't need haggling. Mike is, has been, and continues to be the go to guy for my boating needs. I have brought many an idea to Mike with my having little to no expertise in his craft and he was always able to respectfully take the though, implement it into how those projects actually work and at a price that was less than what it would have been if I wasn't open to the better way to do it. Mike will build me whatever I want, but allowing him to be part of the design process has only brought me more value at a lower cost. If your not at the very least giving Mike the opportunity, pardon the pun, but you would be missing the boat on that decision. Many Thanks Mike!!!! It's one thing if you just want to dock your boat here however if you want them to service your boat, go elsewhere. Overpriced, long wait, and poor quality repairs that you'll end up having to repair yourself or take to another marina. Disappointing as we've been here for many, many years.

Initially, we were only going to have Al fit an existing convertible top, but that would have…read moreneeded extensive modification to the existing frame. After discussing the pros and con's and taking into consideration that the aft curtain would need to be replaced soon, we decided to go all new. Al was booked up with work at the time so he could not start on our job immediately, but he did take the time to do some repairs for us to get us by. We have our new canvas now and the job was top-notch. The fit and finish was excellent and and a nice surprise was to see that areas that are traditionally problematic were reenforced and he also took the time to arrange the frame to maximize the headroom. Just a great job. We also had Al install a NuTeak floor in the salon over winter and just like the canvas, a fantastic job was done here as well. Again the fit and finish was just incredible as was the care he took in masking off the interior during the more dusty phases of the job. Side notes: During the floor redo, the refrigerator door had to be removed and at this point Al must have noticed the handle to the freezer compartment was broken off. Without being asked, he fashioned a replacement. Sometime before we owned the boat, one of the dinette table pole mounts on the floor had the side broke out of it. It was still totally functional but ugly looking. Again, without being asked, Al swapped that mount out with one on the bottom of the table to get it out of sight. Just another instance of Al going the extra mile. Thanks Again Al

We've been traveling aboard our boat for the last 4 months. As you might imagine, we've stayed at a…read morelot of great marinas. Our standards are pretty high. However, Son Rise blew the competition out of the water! From the moment we arrived we could tell Son Rise was a special place. Despite its size, they make every customer feel known, and important. The attention to detail is unparalleled! The docks are clean and very well kept, along with every other inch of the marina from the parking lot to the swimming pool. Son Rise offers many extra amenities such as: a community room with coffee available 42/7, beautiful, clean bathrooms and shower facilities, huge indoor heated storage, a large pool and a nice laundry room. The entire marina is gated making it very secure. Our family was extremely impressed with the friendly and kind attitudes of everyone at Son Rise. It obviously starts with the Manager, Tim, and trickles down through the staff and even the other customers. My daughter even mentioned that Son Rise was exactly like Disney World. It magically looks perfect- though you never actually see the effort that goes into maintaining it so well. Son Rise has set the bar for how all marinas should be! We will absolutely be back.
