The first time I sat in the waiting room an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment to be seen just for the dr to brush off every concern. The whole visit took over 2 hours and there was only 1 other patient. The 2nd time was 3 weeks later and I showed up 10 min early for a 10am appointment. The receptionist took vitals and the dr wasn't even in the building. We sat in the waiting room for over 40 min before deciding to leave. The dr drove past me as I was leaving the parking lot lot. Apparently coming in late is becoming a normal practice for this dr. Beware this is not a medical group. This is one individual dr that runs this office. If she's not there on time youre waiting for her. I see she used to get great reviews, but maybe time has taken its tole and the quality isn't there anymore.

I work in the healthcare field myself so am very picky about who we see as providers. I chose Dr. Jones because she's very compassionate and reasonable. So many healthcare givers these days are very pushy towards providing the same line of treatment for every patient but Dr. Jones is not. She listens to your needs and will treat conservatively based on what's best for you and your child. Her staff, Denise and Brianna are amazing with little ones and make the doctor visits so much fun. They've been working at the office for a long time, which also shows it's a great place to work. The only other feedback is that wait times can be very long, as with most doctor's offices. So plan ahead for that. If it's your first time here, plan to leave a bit early since the Kaleidoscope area and construction can get quite backed up. Even if we move further away I'd still make the drive to bring my kiddos here. They also have fun when they visit and look forward to it, so that is also very telling! :)

Dr. Jones personally said she could squeeze us in the next day specifically due to the concern -- but when we arrived, she dismissed the issue almost immediately. Despite our midwife and even we as parents being able to clearly hear the irregularity through a stethoscope and see it on a pulse ox screen, Dr. Jones insisted that no one could hear (not diagnose but HEAR) an arrhythmia without an EKG. She barely listened for a few seconds and said she couldn't hear anything. Dr. Jones refused to take our concern seriously and ultimately was really rude and arrogant in how she talked to us even though we were understandably concerned and emotional about the situation with our newborn. This was incredibly upsetting, as it was the entire reason for our visit and the only reason we scheduled with her in the first place. Unfortunately, the rest of the visit was equally disappointing. No one greeted us when we arrived, even though Dr. Jones and the receptionist were both sitting at the front desk and appeared unoccupied. We were then kept waiting for 30 minutes past our appointment time. When she finally saw us, she didn't introduce herself, made dismissive and rude remarks about our choices for basic medical decisions, and generally lacked warmth or professionalism. Their billing system is another major issue as other reviewers have emphasized -- they didn't take our copay at the time of the visit, and we still haven't received a bill weeks later. They also communicate using a Gmail address, which is not HIPAA-compliant, and fail to practice informed consent in any meaningful way. For comparison, our usual pediatrician and their team are incredibly warm, respectful, and professional. They greet us every time, take our concerns seriously, and offer comfortable seating (something that sounds small but really matters when you've just given birth!) and nursing accommodations. The experience with Dr. Jones and this office could not have been more different. We won't be returning.

As a team, they have been an incredible support system for my children. They are a vital part of my "village," helping me make informed decisions about my kids' well-being without ever making me feel judged or unheard. Because they are parents themselves, they truly understand the anxiety that comes when a child is ill. Being a small practice, they are incredibly approachable; you never feel like just a number, but rather like family. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of the most precious little humans in my life!

Since my daughter was a toddler, she was always a strong, independent, and decisive little girl that always new exactly what she wanted and told you what was on her mind, but was also the sweetest and loving little girl who would shower us with love and constantly tell us how much she loved us. About a year and a half ago, my daughter had a Radical and Immediate shift in her personality (over night). All of a sudden, she couldnt make any decisions (couldn't express what she wanted to eat, what she wanted to play, etc...). She would literally be frozen when trying to make a decision. It was so bad, that for 1 1/2 yrs, she couldnt even tell us that she loved us, because she couldnt make a decision as to what "love" meant, and if she was feeling it. Our original Pediatrician first told us it was just a "phase", which I disagreed, but decided to trust the Dr's opinion over my gut. They didnt run any test, just told us she'll get over it. After 9 months, we brought her back, and again, and he then told us that he thinks it could be PANDA'S (a autoimmune neurological disorder), which absolutely terrified my wife and I. Mind you, he didnt run any test. Instead, he just wanted to prescribe our 6 yr old SSRI's. I honestly couldnt believe that his professional opinion was to give my freaking 6 year old SSRI's!!!. I event told him, this sounds like you are just wanting to treat the symptom's, as oppose to treating the underlining problem. Needless to say, that was the last time we went to that Dr. After seeing multiple Doctor's, Psychiatrist, and Therapist, they ALL wanted to give my daughter SSRI's. THAAANK GOD we finally found Dr. Mike. When we first saw him, he genuinely cared for our daughter. Before even considering prescribing our daughter any medication, he decided to do his due diligence, and ran Blood Test, Parasyte Test, and Heavy Metals Test. It turned out, that our poor little girl had Mold Exposure, Heavy Metal Exposure, and a Parasyte infection scaled on a 9 out of 10 of severity. Her immune system and gut biome was 'redlined" and overwhelmed. He immediately provided a prescription for the Parasyte, and gave us a bunch of vitamin supplements, and put us on a restrictive diet to get her healthy again. NO JOKE, within a couple of months, she had an immediate shift back to her original, loving, decisive self. Not to mention, it brought tears to my eyes hearing my daughter tell me she "loves me" again. As a parent, its your responsibility to protect your children. That includes protecting them from other people's negligence. If it wasn't for Dr. Mike, my daughter would still be going through a nightmare, and I cant begin to imagine how much worse it could have gotten. Our only regret, is that we didn't find Dr. Mike sooner, and save our daughter from a year and half of H*ll. Dr. Mike mentioned that he would be seeing adults soon. As soon as he does, I'm going to make him my primary. I am forever in his debt. I just hope he knows how grateful I am to him.

My sister found Dr. Monfared when her son was only a few months old, then along came my niece and Dr. Monfared continued to take care of them in such caring way for 6 years. She later returned and told us that my son tested positive for strep. I then asked if my husband and I could also be tested, and she later told us that all three of us tested positive. However, we were not shown the test results. She prescribed antibiotics for my son. I asked if she could also prescribe antibiotics for my husband and me, but she said she could not, which I understood. After leaving, I decided to seek a second opinion the same day. Another doctor tested all three of us for strep, and all of the results came back negative. That doctor also showed us the actual test results. To be thorough, we also went to Hoag Urgent Care later that same day for another test, and those results also came back negative for strep. Both places told us that what my son has is most likely viral and does not require antibiotics. I want to give Dr. Monfared the benefit of the doubt, but this experience was very concerning. I'm not sure if there was an issue with the testing process, the test kit, or some other explanation. It was frightening because I was very close to giving my baby--who is under 18 months old--antibiotics that may not have been necessary. This situation was especially disappointing because I had hoped she could become my son's pediatrician. It is very easy to make appointments, often even on the same day, the office is close to us, and she appears to be easy to talk to.

All of the staff exude confidence in every type of interaction, even when Covid was an unexpected curveball. As a first-time mom, I interviewed several pediatricians in the area. I can only imagine how pediatricians get tired of being "interviewed" by nervous parents, but Dr. McNulty was very reassuring, even with my 'stupid' questions. She personally came to the hospital on a Sunday morning 12 hours after our daughter was born just to check on both of us. I am especially grateful for their attention to my postpartum. They are the only pediatrician's office I found in the area who has their doctors rotate being 'on-call' instead of sending after-hours calls to a service. I love how I get a call back from a Mia Bella doctor when I have urgent questions. It's so reassuring. We've been a patient for over five years, and we have always received outstanding care!

After a very brief appointment -- approximately five minutes -- during which Compound W was applied to treat a wart, our insurance was billed and paid the adjusted charges. We were then charged additional out-of-pocket fees on top of that. At the office's direction, we contacted their billing department to dispute the remaining balance due to the minimal nature of the treatment provided. Unfortunately, the charges were not adjusted. We understand healthcare has costs, and we respect medical professionals' time and expertise. However, we believe billing should be reasonable and proportionate to the services rendered. Because of this experience, we've decided to seek care elsewhere. We're sharing this so other families can be informed and ask detailed questions about treatment and billing upfront.

We brought our 3rd daughter here for her 3-day check-up and it was an absolute disaster. Due to the last minute appt, we were only able to see a nurse practitioner. They started by weighing our newborn and telling us she had lost 14% of her weight. They instructed us to start feeding her every hour during the day and every 2 hours all night long. The weight loss didn't make sense since she was latching since we were in the hospital and eating constantly and very well. We asked if it would make sense to weigh her again. The nurse insisted their scale couldn't be wrong and tried to talk us out of it. We pushed and insisted and they finally agreed. Turns out the first weight was completely wrong and her weight was within healthy limits. As a 3rd time mom, I'm glad I trusted my gut, but if this was for my first baby, I would've trusted them and gone home force feeding my completely healthy baby every hour. Our baby also left the hospital 2 days before with a normal jaundice level of 3. The nurse did a visual inspection of her at this appointment and said if she had to estimate, it looked like it was around 15 (greater than 10 is bad). If the blood tests confirmed that, our baby would have to be hospitalized. Again, very concerning information! Because of this, they pricked her foot to get a blood sample. However, the nurse did not get enough blood the first time and they came back and pricked her other foot! My poor baby. The entire process took more than 1.5 hours. They called later with the results and jaundice levels were completely normal! Why would you report all the concerning information to a parent that all turned out to be inaccurate? We asked to speak to the manager and they said they'd look into it and get back to us. Never heard back. My husband wrote a review and someone from customer service said they'd look into it as well. Never heard back. We have found a new pediatrician for all of our daughters and won't be returning here ever.
