Zero stars. The dentist lady was super nice for the first 2 years, then she flipped! She was awful, talking very disrespectful in front of my kids , she even told me she is not a specialist (her words). She treated me very poorly, attacking me, and not explaining the dental issues my son was having. But then she tried to pressure me to see their orthodontist and got angry when I politely declined. I am done taking my kids there, plenty of nice dentists to choose from! read more

AVOID, especially if you have children with Autism, ADHD, or issue that takes more time, or the office personnel may not feel like taking a little more time dealing with that day.They blow up your phone/email weeks in advance multiple times to ensure insurance payment or changed. Then 1 day before appointment scheduled months in advance, leave 1 voicemail canceling and decide not to see my child with disability to clean his teeth. They'd seen him multiple times for this and more complex issues, for over 14 years. Their cop out is a referral to Lakeside Dental--25 miles away in Denver, to put my kid under anesthesia unnecessarily when all Saddle Rock needs is to be more patient and considerate. Why didn't they decide this months ago, before we took a Day off from work to take him??? Sorry not sorry Saddle Rock Pediatric Dental, we'll be taking my 4 kids and business elsewhere! read more

Dr. Anila and her male assistant were speaking horribly about a co- worker Marissa and how bad she was at her job in front of us while they were doing a procedure on my child. Not one comment, but 20 minute negative conversation. At the previous visit this dentist also spoke to me in a very condescending tone when I asked a reasonable question. Mind if I gush for a moment? Going to the dentist can be pretty scary for little kids. And for kids with autism, going to the dentist is often something that only occurs with sedation - yeah, I'm not even kidding there. I've spent the past year putting off finding a dentist for my 6 1/2-year-old son, after he had a terrifying experience at the dentist a year ago. Lately, though, we've gotten to the point where we needed to make some decisions about what to do with all these baby teeth that aren't coming out, even though they have permanent teeth cropping up right behind them. Soooo, I visited Saddle Rock Pediatric Dentistry, and asked them lots and lots of questions. Andrea, who works the front office, reassured me that they have lots of experience with special needs children, especially kids with autism. She was super helpful in helping me figure out my insurance coverage, and set us up an appointment for the very next day! I really talked up the dentist with my boy, but still fully expected our visit to be a nightmare. My worry was all for naught. He did SPECTACULAR. Our hygienist, Karen, was absolutely amazing. She was unbelievably patient, kind, gentle, and very soft spoken with my son. She explained to him in detail every single thing she was going to be doing, and he responded by lying still in the chair, only squirming occasionally. He had a cleaning, x-rays, and a fluoride treatment - without any tears, shrieking, or trying to run away. The whole thing turned out to be exactly the opposite of what I was expecting. After his cleaning, Dr. Foster came in and examined his teeth. She had nothing but good news for me - no cavities, and no need for any extraction. Woohoo! We were supplied with lots of goodies, too - way beyond just getting a new toothbrush. I could not be more pleased about all of this - believe me, when you have a child with autism, you seek out people to be "on your team" - those hairdressers and dentists and pediatricians and grocery store cashiers who GET IT. The ones who understand that not every child will respond to the same methods. The ones who take the time to make things easier for you and your child. So, this dentist wasn't bad when my family and I attended here, it was more of what came after that gives this place a one star review. My brother, sister, and I all had sealants done here by Dr. Foster. Sealants are a pretty simple dental procedure designed to protect the back teeth from cavities, and for a few years, these sealants did that just fine. However, after switching to a new dentist, they told my brother he had two cavities in the back of his mouth (where the sealants were). We thought nothing of it and assumed it was because he didn't brush properly. A few months later, I went in to the same dentist (which we've been patients at for awhile) and was also told I have two cavities, again where the sealants were. The dentist felt around with her tool and even said "Wow, it feels like it was never even glued here." We started getting suspicious of the sealants Dr. Foster had put on, and this suspicion was confirmed yesterday when my brother went for a cleaning. Again (this is his second visit in a row) he had cavities where the sealants once were, and the dentist remarked something similar. My sister will be going in early February, and if the sealants put on by Foster are weak, the dentist will remove them herself and try something else. So, because of multiple poorly done procedures by this dentist Dr. Foster, we have had to spend $600 getting cavities removed, in addition to the bill we paid for her awful procedure and even more awful implementation of these sealants! Take ANY and ALL procedures to a different dentist who will do them right. read more

Took 3 of my children here and told the front desk staff I did not want my children to receive fluoride. They were soo confused but I expressed we did not use it and did not feel it was healthy for my family. I expressed we get enough fluoride from our drinking water. They told the dentist who wanted to talk to me about my decision. She seemed really put off and upset by my refusal to get fluoride for my 3 children. Later I received my EOB and they charged me for fluoride at $50 a pop. Now I know why they were so upset about my refusal. I called my insurance and explained the mistake in charges. I went back for a cavity repair for my son and they gave me the bill for 2 more cavities at $350. I told them I was only aware of 1 cavity. They said they looked at the X-ray and he actually could have 4 cavities. They wanted to charge me the full price before any work was done. Refused and said I would get a second opinion. I did and we are happy customers at 5280 Dental. Will never go here again. read more

Well this place started off great, even recommended people here but over there years it just gets worse. It's time to move on. I generally don't write reviews but this place is awful! Lets start with the front reception - they have no idea what they are talking about or what they are doing. Often they never answer the phone and if you leave a message - good luck because they don't return your calls. You also get conflicting information from the front desk. Now the dentists - I will say that my experience has not been with the regular dentists (lately) but the care we have received in Mayobrace; however, if the office is going to "sell" Mayobrace, then they should have knowledge of whats occurring within their spaces or make it very clear that they are not one in the same. There is NO communication in the office. If they say they will call you to schedule X, Y, Z don't expect them to call you. Fully expect that you call there a min of 4 times before you get a hold of someone that knows what they are dong or before they return your call. My son has been going through the mayobrace treatment for over a year but both of my kids have been seen here for at least six years. There have been multiple appointments we waited a long time, then to be brought into the room to wait longer then to be told, never mind have a great day with nothing really occurring during the appointment. This last time, I've had enough. I voiced my concern with the office and all they could say was sorry. We spent an hour and 45 minutes essentially waiting. Multiple times, I asked what we were waiting for and they didn't even know where we were there to begin with. After I got snippy with they, they then said they had to do another impression. THIS IS THE THIRD IMPRESSION they have have to do because they have either lost or who knows what happened. We have already paid for the expanders, and have been jerked around for over 2 months! We still don't have the expanders. We have had 5 appointments since agreeing to put the exapanders on regarding this same thing and have made NO progress and still don't have the expanders. This should have been completed in two appointments. We had 3 for impressions, one for spaces, and the initial appointment. DUring the first impressions the try didnt fit and my son almost passed out because they were essentially choking him. We have never left the office under an hours time for something that should have taken less then 5 minutes. WE STILL DONT HAVE THE SPACERS and they had to order them again for a third time. I will say that the third appointment they had expanders; however they didn't fit and they processed to spend the next 20 minutes to force them. We had one person tell us we didn't need spacers to getting a phone call saying we did then to say we needed them and to come in ASAP, then it was oh wait, its impressions we need. this happened twice! They all blame each other but at the end of the day they have wasted significant amounts of my time. I am missing work, kids being pulled out of school, etc and NOTHING. The problem is we are stuck, if we go somewhere else, getting our money back might be a whole other issue. We are also multiple steps in towards braces and going somewhere else would cost us additional money. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY and HUGE HEADACHE by NOT going here. read more

My son has been going here for a couple of years now, and we really love it. They let him watch movies on a tv above the chair while they clean and examine his teeth. They give the kids goodies and get them involved in the process. My son actually likes to go to the dentist! read more

As a dentist myself, I can honestly say I'm somewhat disappointed with the appointment we never had. Mainly, from the front desk lady's lack of professionalism. Dental professionals usually offer a customary discount for other dental professionals (at least I have in my practice prior to moving). I asked the front desk lady if this was the process. Her response was "I don't think so, but I don't know.". Didn't get up from her chair to even ask the doctor. This was not for extensive treatment, but for an initial exam and prophy. If i could give less than 1 star i would! Super unhappy with this practice! My Daughter was receiving care there for Myofunctional therapy. This practice was flying in another dental specialist for this therapy 1 week a mo. We are 75% done with our care program and suddenly we were notified that the dental office has terminated its relationship with the Myofunctional therapist. We were referred to another dental office to handle our myofunctional care. However, this new dental office wants me to pay again for the care i already paid for at Saddle Rock. Saddle rock collected my money and wont help me out in getting the remaining 25% of my treatment completed. I have been left hanging with my child care and Saddle Rock DOES NOT CARE! We are moving our dental care to another pediatric dentist that cares about its patients. **If you are thinking of using this office BEWARE!** They are all about the money but not about patient care. I really wanted to love this place, and after hearing such good reviews, I took my 2 1/2 year old daughter in for her first cleaning today. We previously saw another dentist, who was excellent and would look at her teeth and talk about her dental hygiene while my older son had his teeth taken care of there. I decided to try another dentist since my son's dentist is more of a family dentist and does not specialize in pediatrics. When we arrived, I thought the reception was extremely nice and helpful, and the dental hygienist also was very good with my daughter, helping her to feel relaxed and talking to me about her dental and family history. At this point, I was very happy with their dental care, and felt optimistic that I would return. My opinion changed abruptly when Dr. Foster (the dentist) came to look at her teeth. She was not friendly and did not seem to have good bedside manner with kids. I have been to two other family dentists who were much more playful and focused on the child, I would have expected much more from a pediatric dentist. She was also in the room for about 2.5 seconds, and left abruptly after telling me that my 2 year old had three cavities. Not having experienced cavities myself, and having a son who has not had any yet, I was confused and had a lot of questions and concerns about how this could have happened. Unfortunately, Dr. Foster took off immediately, leaving me to go home in tears and google my questions. Thankfully the hygienist answered some of my questions and was able to calm me down a little. If it were the hygienist that I was rating, I would give her 4, but Dr. Foster gets 1 star in my book. read more

After a fine experience getting some cavities filled 4 years ago, my recent experience has me writing this negative review: Stay away! My daughter has 2 cavities. Our regular dentist could fix them, but after our previous good experience with Saddle Rock Pediatric Dentistry, I scheduled her to have the cavities filled there. The estimate was $200 less than my regular dentist, so that was great, too. When we showed up for the appointment, they had no record of the appointment. Nothing. Ummm... I rescheduled for a week later. But when we arrived, the appointment was a "consultation" instead of 2 fillings. They wanted to take Xrays -- I handed them the Xrays from my regular dentist. They claimed there were twice as many cavities as he saw, and quoted a price $1800 more than the estimate over the phone! No time for drilling (since it was a "consultation") -- but they could schedule to drill 2 cavities on Friday and the other 2 on Monday. What?!? Pay $80, retreat, run away. read more

This was our 4th visit and I was not impressed today. The dentist was very nice but literally didn't ask me one question or tell me at all how she thought my daughters teeth were doing. The dentist put fluoride on her teeth and was out the door in 2 minutes flat. I have the most cautious child I've ever met and was not asked how I thought she'd do in the big girl room just weeks after her 3rd birthday. After contacting your office twice to verify that you were in or network and being told yes, I scheduled my dions first dentist appt. We showed up early to fill out the mounds of paperwork, to then be told we owed a copay. When we questioned why since preventative care is covered, we couldn't get some to answer us. It wasn't until my husband called our insurance company while in your waiting room that we were tools you in fact were not in our network and what we were paying was out of network costs. We refused the appointment at that point. 1.5 hrs wasted in our morning with a toddler and a newborn because someone couldn't communicate accurate information when I called. My three children have been going to this practice since we moved to the area in 2009. My oldest had massive anxiety about going to the dentist and the staff here has always been exceptionally wonderful with him, particularly Misty. He had a very unique set of dental circumstances and they were so gentle and patient with him. We were most comfortable with Dr. Paddy and saw him exclusively from the time that he arrived until the time he left. (By the way, one day a letter just arrived in the mail stating that he had left. No explanation and no forwarding information.) I just took my kids for their check ups in November and it went from being our favorite place (that I would ALWAYS defend to others and highly recommend) to a place I will never return to. We arrived FIVE minutes late for the first appointment of the day. All three children had appointments booked -- and let me tell you that in 6 years of appointments, this was the VERY first time they have EVER had to wait for us and not the other way around. The receptionist gave me a very cold "Well, we'll have to rebook you for your appointments." I told her that absolutely would not happen and that I was not leaving. She was gone for a few minutes, returned and said that they actually WOULD be able to see my children. Okay, then. We then found out that they would be seeing a substitute dentist for their cleanings. I let her know that I was not comfortable with this and that I'd need them to see Dr. Foster, as I wanted to talk to her about Dr. Paddy's departure. The hygenists were great as usual and the kids were fine. The problem was with Dr. Foster, who was pretty much cold, unsympathetic and generally not caring at all about how unhappy I was to hear that Dr. Paddy had left. (We had to coordinate care between Dr. Paddy, the orthodontist and an oral surgeon. I'm pretty sure she has zero idea of anything that went on with my child.) Instead of being comforting, supportive, understanding and reassuring, she left me feeling like we were just a number and I was ridiculous for worrying. It's a shame that this had to happen because I would have loved for my kids to continue going there since it's so convenient, but I will now happily drive them somewhere else where I know my children and my family are valued and cared for. read more

I am very unsatisfied with the patient coordinator who works there. She acted like she didn't care and was very rude and unhelpful. My wife was there today with our daughter for a check up and was treated very rudely when spoken to by the patient coordinator. My daughter even tried to ask to change her sticker for a cup and was told no..Yet they claim compasionate on their website. I will never go there again and will let all my co-workers know to go elsewhere..People should be trained properly on dealing with customers..a little kindness goes a long way..If you don't enjoy your job, quit!!! read more

My 13 year old daughter was seen today by Dr Foster. First of all she didn't acknowledge me as a parent when I walked in. Second, she put the numbing gel on my daughters gums and lips then IMMEDIATELY stuck the needle in her gums due to rushing. My daughter was in excruciating pain and moaning. I said something to her because I knew she started too early, and she cut me off and snapped back at me. After she was done, I talked to her about it and she just said thanks for the feedback. She was VERY RUDE and didn't care if she hurt my daughter. Her customer service is horrible. My daughter was already nervous from a previous experience there and this was my first time seeing it first hand. I WILL be reporting this to the BBB and I am a high profile recording artist and will share with the public about this experience. We will NEVER go there or recommend this place again because of Dr Foster. read more

Have to agree with other reviews as they are very rude. My son went in with a bad tooth ache. They took ex-rays and said everything was ok. Had to take him to the emergency room later as the pain was so bad. They gave us antibiotics and questioned why the dentist had not done that on our visit. We then took him back in to this dentist and they basically said they never evaluated the right tooth or took an ex-ray of it on it on the first visit. They did take ex-rays and sure enough there was a clearly visible abscess. Between being rude and incompetent, I will never take my son there again. I could not recommend them for my dog. read more

the hygienist working on my child was hurting him so he started to close his mouth from the pain and she went on to yell at him to keep it open. he started to cry and was too scared to move and she didn't even react or say anything and continued to ignore him. awful! they should do a better job of screening who is working for them especially when they are working with children. i am mad at myself that i trusted them and chose to wait in the waiting room instead of going back too but at the same time this is something that should've never occurred at a pediatric dentist's office. there are many options go elsewhere. we are leaving. read more

I've been taking my boys here since 2015.I loved the place and were amazing with my boys. In my last visit, my 11-year old had a horrible experience. He had some plaque build up and the hygienist was trying to remove it. I was sitting on a bench & when I looked over my poor son was BLEEDING! He was crying and looked at me mortified. I immediately walked over & she was cleaning it with blood all over. She told me his plaque was bad & was very rude, while she continued to clean with blood all over.I had to ask to rinse the blood before continuing. I told her if we could split it up into 2 visits to allow the gums to heal. She said no & continued to remove it. As a mother, it was a very traumatizing experience & not to say to my son. After that I am NEVER going to take my boys there again. Kid's dentistry should be a pleasant experience, but this hygienist should not even be dealing with children.My son is seriously traumatized. read more

I feel like ever since the office expanded the service has gone down hill. Our first few visits were wonderful all around. We still had a great experience with the Hygenists but when I called to schedule the appts the person on the phone was rude and acted like it was a big inconvenience to reschedule our appts. I am a busy working mom of 3 and don't always know what our schedule will be, I try and keep all appts but sometimes it just doesn't work out. I was told that I could not get prime time appts because I had to reschedule. I understand that the office is busy as well, but it seems to me they need to be a little more understanding and accomodating or we will have to find a new dentist. read more

Saddle Rock Pediatric Dentistry just lost two lifelong patients. We have taken our boys there since they got their first teeth, but today they just destroyed that whole relationship. Both boys had appointments at the same time. We were FOUR minutes late and the first thing the receptionist said to me (no hello or anything) was "I'll have to check to see if we can still see them." She then disappeared for another four or five minutes. When she returned, she said, "Unfortunately, there isn't enough time to see them so you'll have to reschedule." Four minutes??!! If you run your practice so tightly that you can't absorb four minutes somewhere, there's a problem. The receptionist also made a comment about how if they still saw our two kids that day that they'd then be behind on their other patients after that. Every other time we were in that office, we sat in the waiting room for at least 5 or 10 minutes before being seen. I don't think running four minutes behind schedule is unheard of! And this was a 3:00 appointment - the office was only open for another two hours, so it wasn't like the entire day's worth of patients would be affected. There was likely only one other patient to be seen after our boys. The care we received in the past was acceptable, although the hygienists over the years have been hit or miss. Many of them seemed to not be very patient with little ones, but there have been a couple that were what you'd expect at a pediatric dentist's office - sweet and gentle. As someone else mentioned, I've never been thrilled with Dr. Foster's bedside manner - we preferred Dr. Paddy once he joined the practice, but apparently he left there recently. It's unfortunate that they treat their patients the way they do. It's a nice, clean office that was set up to make kids feel at ease (games in the waiting area, videos for the kids to watch while in the exam chair, tokens for a prize for no cavities, a plastic cup full of dental supplies to take home.) It seems there has been a lot of staff turnover there lately. Oh, and parking is always a challenge there. Heck, that's where we probably burnt up those four minutes we were late! read more

I had an Appt scheduled for 11:00am. I arrived at 10:45am. Had 4 other families walk in behind me for their 11:00 appt as well. But....... They walked in at 10:57...... There was no communication as to why. If all our appt were scheduled at 11am then why not take them back they way they came in. It's now 11:27 and we still haven't been called back!!! Not a happy person right now. Esp when you try and plan your day. But they're " running behind "... Not good service today.. Another family just walked in for there 11:30 appt and was called back!!! We've been here before and had a nice normal visit this time it was just unbearable.... I walked In the door filled out the paper work that no one seems to read anyway bc later I was asked the same questions on the questionnaire over and over by 3 different unprofessional smug assistants... before we were even taken in my 1 year old was knocked on the floor because a dental assistant couldn't look at what she was doing... my 1 year old left the office with a bump and a scratch under her eye... I had 2 separate appointments 10:30 and 11 but they squeezed them into 1 and brought my 4 year old into 1 room and my 3 year old into a separate ... what kind of unprofessional practice separates the child from the parent... I had to get nasty and ask to go see my child....45 mins later dr Hoffman comes in very unapologetically and quickly just counts my daughters teeth.... after making a scene I was asked if I wanted ice for my daughters head when we were literally out the door... assistants and dr Hoffman were unprofessional egotistical jokes read more

My 2.5 year old has seen both Dr. Foster and Dr. Paddy. We saw Dr. Foster for his first ever dentist appointment. He was very excited, but also nervous. The nurse and doctor both did a great job of making it fun and relaxing for my son. The Friday before his Monday appointment we had to have a strep test (came back negative) but my son was afraid to open his mouth for a doctor again...who could blame him? They got him to open his mouth and he had a great appointment. Last weekend, my son fell and hit his top two teeth and gum on a brick wall. We called the after hours line and Dr. Paddy was very helpful, called in prescriptions and gave us a plan of action. We were supposed to go to the dentist this week to check his mouth. We had some issues with our insurance, but the office helped us work through them and made it possible to go into the dentist. My son felt comfortable enough to go with the nurse to have his X-ray done all by himself. The staff and doctor helped me out with my son and made it much easier. My infant is on a feeding tube so we have lots of things to carry. The staff really helped me by giving my son the attention he needed and deserved while making it easier on me. This office does have a lot of technological type things and it makes my son feel comfortable and excited. My son has been twice and both times walked out feeling so happy. He went to school both times and told his friends he got to go to the dentist. I grew up with an intense fear of the dentist and so far my son can't wait to go! THANK YOU! read more
