Our girl, Nikka, is a 12…read moreyear old Husky/Shepherd mix and she recently developed some hind leg soreness/stiffness and urinary incontinence. We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us! . On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps. . Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes. . Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise. . Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta.

One needed a nail trim and the other's first wellness exam and one more puppy shot. My 3 month old puppy is very high strung and energetic. He escaped the room a few times and when I went to grab him he was already in Dr Jameson arms in the hallway as we were waiting to see her. It was absolutely adorable. The entire staff loved on my babies, gave them each calming puppy plates filled with treats, and made us feel right at home. Dr Jameson is very thorough and took into consideration my concerns with certain treatments. She takes a lot of time in the room to answer any and all of questions. I never feel rushed or forced to do anything unnecessary and I appreciated all her professional insights for my babies. She really does care deeply for these animals and from what I can see is incredibly humble as a person, which are exactly the qualities I look for in a veterinarian. I can't recommend them enough. it has been a year now of faithfully going to dr tran at 9tails and i can say that the service,…read moretreatment, and staff at this clinic are unparalleled. my bullmastiff ended up with a knee injury that had to be seen on emergency at another clinic and my husband wisely said "i want to wait and see dr tran until we make any further decisions." what we got was decades of knowledge and experience that ultimately saved us 10K trying for a surgery he wouldn't have even been a proper candidate for given his weight. the other vet wasn't even aware of that fact when recommending the surgery. the other lovely thing is how dr. tran even gently defended the other vet without even knowing them, saying that it was only after her own personal experiences treating large dogs that she even came upon the knowledge. i found it so heartwarming to see how deeply entrenched she is in her sense of community. this sense of community has trickled down into her staff. every single staff member there is an absolute joy. from the techs who just come to say hi during treatments and give pets, to the ones who patiently go over med instructions, to the innovators and quick thinkers who are willing to sneak my dog-reactive bullmastiff out through the back to avoid the packed lobby. but even then, the lobby often feels like a coffee shop rather than a waiting room. the folks at the front desk are always so friendly and joyful and patients and owners all seem to enjoy congregating and patiently waiting their turn. even those who are quietly stressing about their ill pet or sadly those who have just lost one are offered so much comfort and kindness by the staff or even fellow owners in the lobby. dr tran is relentless in her pursuit of providing peace and comfort to owners and animals alike. as my cane corso's arthritis has progressed, she has been quick to think of new meds to try and comforting words that offer hope and enthusiasm for where he's at in his progress which is invaluable to someone like me who worries at every struggle. if anyone is skeptical about the benefits of accupuncture, i can vouch wholeheartedly now that i have had two dogs benefit immensely from the practice. the first time my bullmastiff went in for treatment it looked like he was melting into the floor the minute she started. i have never seen that dog so absolutely at peace. and despite him barely being able to walk without a significant limp after his injury, he is back to his normal self running and jumping after his acupuncture treatments. the hardest part about being a patient at this clinic is the sheer magnitude of people clambering to get in. but it's just a testament to how great this place and its staff truly are and the wait is always well worth it because even that can be enjoyable here.

We had to unexpectedly put our ten year old Husky down about a week and a half ago. After days of vet visits, we found out she had a tumor on her spleen, blood had leaked into her abdomen, and cancer had spread all throughout her organs. The vet said there was nothing they could do and that she needed to be put down. My husband and I had had her since she was 6 weeks old and we did everything with her and her little black lab sister (hiking, camping, dog beach, etc.). We expected to have several more years with her and were completely and utterly devastated that we had to put her down. Tranquil Tails went above and beyond. The doctor and the technician arrived at our house and immediately got down on the ground with us and pet our dog and spoke to her with such kindness and love. They were so soft spoken and gently explained the process to us. After sedating her, we were given time alone to say our goodbyes. After she passed, they discreetly covered her up and took her to their car on a gurney. They gave me a hug and sincerely told me how sorry they were for our loss. A week and a half later, a nice young woman hand delivered a very nice box to our home filled with our dog's ashes, a clay paw print, fur clippings, a nose prints and a nice letter. They made such a difficult and heartbreaking experience easier and I could not be more grateful to them for the love and care they provided.
