Picture of Sacramento history museum where Alexis says you can take a pic and maybe see something suspicious.

3.5- 4 stars The not great: The meetup location moved to in front of the restrooms so that was easy to find (if you checked the email not the website) but aromatic. Check in was 7:45 to start at 8. Alexis showed up around 8:10. Fast talking and almost mumbling at times was challenging. If you go on a Friday in October, the movie night event can impede on their tour. If it had started on time, we may have missed the movie ending though while we were at the Eagle Theater where they tear down. You're told the 30 min extra time you pay for is really 15 or so minutes and only a couple stories. Was the bonus tour worth it? The one major story was good. Any else felt more glossed over or were recommendations what to look up or watch documentaries on. The good: Alexis seemed to really love talking about history and the drama that comes with ghost stories and "Scandals, Shadows, and Secrets." Showed concern and commented on cars and music that went by while she paused to make sure she didn't have to talk over it. Some stories were pretty cool. I only doubt the accuracy due to some other reviews here. She always made sure we were safe crossing the street, that the group was all together, and that the mic worked for everyone. Overall, it's ok. I'd say maybe not go on a Friday/Saturday night bc of noise and other events but that's exactly when you do want to go. Same for going in October. Other events in spots they want to stop at but it's spooky season so of course that's when you want to go. I really had a good time with who I was with so that made it 100% worth it.

Caught this weird little greenish orb light at bottom center of my picture. It was pretty dark out there.

I would recommend ghost tour. Lydia was our guide. She was awesome. She had so much information about the history of the buildings. Our EMfF detector was going off like crazy in certain locations. It was really cool. Caught this weird little greenish orb light at bottom center of my picture. It was pretty dark out there.

We did the Boos & Booze Haunted Pub Crawl with a small group of friends. We had the best time with our tour guide Jack! So much fun hearing about the haunted history while making stops at the local bars in between. Would definitely recommend.

Tons of fun and very informative. Learned a lot of cool things that I didn't know before. Gabby unfolded the stories well and clearly.

Excellent experience. Rusty was very welcoming and shared the interesting and infamous history of Sacramento. Several sites were visited and interpreted. The walk around town was fun, not to long, and the people watching is great. Many thanks to Rusty for spending his time and sharing his expertise. Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Emma. She is a great tour guide. She knew her history information about Sacramento well and had a charming personality. We walked to about 7 locations. It was about an hour in length. If you like learning about the history of Sacramento and some haunting chills this is for you! This reminded me of a similar tour I did in Salem Massachusetts. It was easy to find her at the meeting point. She didn't have the USGA black T shirt on but she was wearing all black with a lantern so I spotted her easily. I would recommend this night tour to anyone. Great experience with Emma!

We had booked a private tour for his birthday to meet the rescue animals who call this beautiful place home. Yasmin met us at the entrance and, after swapping shoes for some solid boots, gave us a very honest, very real, and very important rundown of industrial agriculture. Now, I have to add, neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian, but Yasmin proved to be an actively non judgmental, compassionate host. She walked us through the grounds, addressing each animal by name, and was full of knowledge and insight! After the initial meet and greet, we were off! We hiked across the beautiful grounds and met tons of sheep (Jet loved my partner!) goats, and pigs; all of the animals roam freely, coming and going as they please. It was actually delightful how so many of the animals came up to say hi and hang out out of their own volition! We brought some grapes for the chickens and they LOVED them! But oh my god, the turkeys. Wow, just, two little friendly, fluffy orbs that floated around our party showing off while Yasmin gave us an informed and empathetic story about them. She did that at every habitat; letting us in, introducing us (by name!) to the boldest of the bunch, and explaining how they ended up at Animal Place. It was an entirely wonderful, enlightening experience. Also, fyi, turkeys are so soft. I cannot recommend this organization enough. 10/10, please give Conrad an extra treat for me!

My wife was adamant in wanting to do the Sonoma foodie tour since she had never been in Sonoma before. Sherry kept in constant contact with my wife by email & text as she was our same tour guide back then. In fact she called her the day before & expressed concern of establishments not fully opened due to covid. So she managed to persuade my wife to do the foodie tour in Napa again instead. Maybe bc my wife told her she was wearing a long dress. Yup that did it! Sherry had started us at the infamous Oxbow public market with taking pics of the 4 of us in front. Yes that was a plus bc how often do you vacation & you do a quick selfie of everywhere you go? Ugh...all the time! LOL Sherry was informative, personable & quite the leader for our tour. She was sensitive to our needs & we totally enjoyed our six different stops walking leisurely from Oxbow market to throughout downtown Napa & back to the market. We had even walked by their farmers market which was on a Tuesday but unfortunately they were in the process of closing up since it was already noon. Our tour was a full three hours & we were totally satiated. What was quite enjoyable was we were with another couple whom we already knew in advance. Supposedly there was supposed to be 6 of us but that third couple mistakenly came the day before. Haha my wife said it was bc the Mercury was in retrograde! This foodie tour was ultimately like our own private tour! Yay! It was also to celebrate my wife's birthday. She had the time of her life. Thank you Sherry! Hope to go on your foodie tour in Sonoma one day soon! Book your next foodie tour here in Napa with Sherry! I highly recommend her. We were the only ones that signed up for the earliest tour that day and were lucky to have a private tour. The tour has informative history about the caverns with landmarks along the way. The most interesting thing we didn't know about is they have caving adventure tours where you shimny through holes and narrow spaces with a guide but our kids aren't old enough to partake. This was the first show cave in California and townspeople lived in them during harsh winters in the 1800s. There was a bar inside and a church and nails were even given to people to carve on the walls. Because of this there are signs of harm everywhere with soot, broken formations, and dirty coloration from human hand oils and even champagne poured on a rock formation. The caverns are huge and beautiful with some jaw-dropoing rooms. The walking tour is very safe though we loved the slight danger and claustrophobic feel of the Mercer Caverns. When you leave the shop has some cool historical items pulled from the caves on display like glass bottles, etc .. that are worth checking out.

Attendees become paranormal investigators during the tour, given several tools to track paranormal activity (spiritual dowsing rods, and a ghost hunting meter that measures electric signals (as ghosts give off electric signals). We made about 4-5 different stops that are either haunted or have affiliation with death, and Devin helped the group communicate with ghosts during some of the stops, combining storytelling with interesting historical events in Napa. We had a combination of skeptics and believers in our group, including at least one witch. I, of course, came for the entertainment, getting to talk about serial killers, learn a bit about history, and also get in a few laughs as Devin brings the humor as well. I did learn some new things, such as the difference between a ghost and a spirit, possible origins of the terms "lobbying" and "pulling my leg", and that Cole's Chop House (where my bf and I had dinner earlier that day) was formerly a mortuary. We ended at the courthouse, not where we started the tour, with the story of the last public execution in California which took place here in Napa. Overall, we had a fun time, and it's an unconventional way to tour the streets of Napa, and definitely enjoyable if you like ghost stories.
