This is a true and honest review. No one asked me to write it. I read countless reviews within my insurance plan looking for a good dentist for my daughter. I eventually chose to look outside my insurance plan and found Dr. Desai. I'm so so glad I found him. He is very professional, but also has a very good bed side manner. And he is very reasonable for cash paying patients. He explained what my daughter needed and didn't add any 'extra's'. He was also very polite and understanding when I told him that I wanted to go to our regular dentist for her general cleaning because it would save me money. He genuinely cares about the comfort of his patients. Before my daughter had her procedure, he asked her if she had eaten anything that day and when she told him that she had not, he offered her a protein shake because it would be a few hours before she would be able to eat anything. He also took time to talk to her for a few minutes to explain the importance of good dental hygiene. I never once got the feeling that he was in a hurry. He took his time to ask us if we had any further questions. I really appreciate all those qualities in a doctor. All of the staff is just wonderful. Very professional kind friendly and helpful. The office is spotless, and beautiful. The office and staff have a very welcoming feel. Dr. Desai and his staff are really just wonderful. After my last review I decided to come on and do an update. Two of my fillings fell out. I've never in my life had a filling fall out! I went back two separate times to have one of them replaced I don't understand how this place is still on business. They try to upswell all kinds of crowns and in necessary things. We started going to here years ago when it was more family friendly and more welcoming. I took my now 10 yr old for all his check ups and was always told he had no cavities. We recently wemt to a new denstist who said he had multiple cavities and one was so bad he was going to need a root canal. I was shocked to learn this as we were never told anything with Dr Desai. I pulled his xrays and those cavities had been there for years. We trusted Dr Desai and were lied to with him saying my soon was good and to continue to do what we are doing at home. Also, After COVID it seems this office is no longer the same, they became more about the money.and less caring for patients. You cant get an appointment til months on out and he has you break appointments up into two visits....maybe to get more money I guess....I did try to contact Dr Desai to discuss my concerns and never got a call back. When I called to make an apt they said they would.no longer see me or my family because we had too many missed apts...ok bye....I do not recommend this dental office. I just had my first root canal from This Magnificent dentist OMG he is amazing and his staff marabell is amazing as well if I would have had him do more root canals I probably have more teeth left having previous poor experiences Dr.Desai had to deal with a lot. This was my girlfriends dentist , she had minimal resources herself and was always a cash client, the second they found out that I applied and got a care credit account for her services , they had to "re-examine" her and ohhh guess what!!??? It went from 650 to 950 ... just 50 less then my limit of 1k ... which I'm sure they knew .... I've seen dental scams and ambitious billing and this is a classic case of that , this is why they beg you to put a good review on yelp like if this was a taco stand ... they do this too offset the real (bad) reviews and try to even out the average ... put it this way, it's safe to say the bad reviews are real people and the good reviews just want a Starbucks card read more

I cannot stress how non stressful my visit to GFD was. I had a very unpleasant experience with another local dentist about 8 yrs ago so Ive had a serious fear of returning. I found Dr Sachin through the amazing reviews on yelp and Google & by chance was also referred to him by a friend of friend. The entire office staff are incredibly welcoming the office is very clean and modern giving you a feeling of confidence before you step into the room. My experience with the hygienist Liz along with the assistant Jessica was easily the most pleasant experience I've ever had with a teeth cleaning especially considering the grinding they'd have to do. Ah! I forgot to update my review. It's been almost a year now, since I had Dr. Desai help me by fixing my smile. I couldn't be happier. A year ago, you wouldn't find me smiling, I'd either cover my mouth or not smile at all. But Dr. Desai has helped me, and now I have been smiling nonstop. Many of my close friends and coworker can tell the difference. Like I said before, from past experience with other dentist... it was never great. You felt judged, you felt embarrassed... sometimes they didn't know what they were doing, or they didn't have much Patient Care. Dr. Desai and his team are excellent. They make sure you feel comfortable, answer any questions. It's been great. I can go in and feel confident. I don't have to be scared anymore. Once the visit is then completed Dr Desai now avoids calls all my calls about payment after numerous attempts at emailing, texting and calls. Let me start by saying...I hate going to the dentist! Even for a cleaning I hate it! BUT... I've been going to Dr. Desai for several years. He and his staff are the best!! He uses state of the art tools/equipment. He is always very honest and up front when things need be done and with his pricing. I've never had a negative experience. He always makes sure I understand what he's doing and answers all question I have. Also, they are quick and efficient here. I'm never waiting a long time to be seen and once I'm in the chair they make the appointment go quickly. I've had great experiencing until today. Today I took time off of work to go in because they said it was really important to check my implants...I was just there for a teeth cleaning two weeks earlier. So, I took time off, spent 10 minutes looking for a parking space, only to have the staff tell me, "we just needed you to sign in so we can bill your insurance". WHAT!?! I wasted my time because you lied to me?, I walked out, I will not return, I pay for my dental insurance like we all do either by lower wages or by cash, this pissed me off. They offered a complementary teeth cleaning since I came in...dude, I just had one two weeks ago. If you have anxiety about the Dentist as I do, I highly recommend this dentist. His office is very organized and I have never experienced a wait time of more than 3-5 minutes. This is really helpful when you are feeling nervous about the dentist because extra waiting builds up your anxiety. Dr. Desai is very caring and keeps notes about your concerns and remembers even the smallest details that may make you nervous. His dental work is excellent I have not had any issues so far. I have been going to Dr. Desai for 6-7 years now. I had originally lived in Glendora and he was very convenient. I was very pleased that even after moving to Victorville, and now Los Angeles, I still commute to see Dr. Desai. The office staff is super friendly. Marlene at the front desk even called me the next day after an extraction to make sure I was OK. They are even open most saturdays, and are super flexible around my schedule. DESAI, D.D.S.as my new dentist as i needed some extensive dental work done .I went in and did all the xrays and had received a estimate of Appx $10.000 in Dental work so i went for it and so happy they where going to work with me on a $500.00 Monthly payment plan. All was great they did the job and i went home Happy with my new Front Bridge . Well just Monday my Bridge Cracked in Half made a call and to come in then they tell me it will cost me another $4850.00 WHY i ask they tell me oh your bridge foundation is gone now ,so we need to relocate the bridge and it will cost $4850.00 I don't understand why i need to pay more $ because of bad Dental Work .Now i have 3 teeth missing in front till i decide to pay them well that will not happen .BEWARE YOUR TEETH WORK WILL BREAK AND THEN BE CHARGED MORE TO FIX . read more

First off...impression of the reception area is this is a nice place and the receptionist is very friendly. However, it went downhill from there! They advertised a new patient deal for $1 to get a x-ray exam, so I took my son. We knew that he needed a cleaning and his 2 bottom wisdom teeth removed so we asked about the deal they had for $149 for WT extraction. Of course (according to Dr) he needed more extensive work done so it was going to be $500 per tooth. But we were going to bite the bullet and schedule it anyway since he needed it. I told Dr. Desai to go ahead and do his deep cleaning for now (which btw costs $75) and we would schedule the WT work down the road. My son was literally in there for 5 minutes!!! Desai only scraped his teeth for a few minutes...no polish/buffer, no rinse, not even floss! WHAT? So I kindly asked the Dr. what exactly he does and he proceeded to explain that they don't do the polishing since it's "bad for your teeth." Again...WHAT?? But still I kept my cool and just asked him why it only took a few minutes....and then he just let me have it! He very RUDELY told me "you know what, let's call it quits and you can just find someone else to help him!" Yipes! I didn't know that you weren't allowed to ask a Dentist questions! Mental note for future reference! Do yourself a favor...no matter how appealing the cheap advertised deals are, don't bother wasting your time! read more

My husband is experience oral surgeon.And he said the doctor is unethically and dishonest .He tried to tell me I needed expensive work that was not necessary.I think he does not care about me period only care about money.He started cleaning my teeth and I kept telling it hurts so bad but he didn't care.It hurts so bad. I had to stop and leave after only 5min. Came here because I bought a teeth whitening voucher from New Line Smile. They go door to door to businesses and sell these vouchers. At $65 I "thought" it was a good deal being that it also included x-rays and a consultation. On the back of the voucher there's a list of dentist that participate in the program. I chose Dr. Desai because he was near my home. I come in for the consult and x-rays and was then told I can't do the whitening because I have Invisalign and to come back when my treatment is done. Only problem is I still had 10 months to go on my Invisalign treatment and the voucher I bought expired in 6 months :( After numerous phone calls to New Line Smile to see if I can get a refund or a credit or a new voucher with a new expiration date they said I can go back and get the voucher I turned into Dr. Desai's office and they would help me find a dentist who would accept beyond the expiration date , if Dr. Desai wouldn't. So I called Dr. Desai's office to see if he would still accept it and the receptionist said she would have to speak to Dr. Desai about it. The following day I get a phone call from the receptionist saying Dr. Desai would only accept the expired voucher if I got a cleaning done and any other treatment he felt was needed!!! Mind you, I would have to pay out of pocket because they don't take my dental insurance. I just got a cleaning done 2 weeks ago and why would I pay out of pocket for something that I pay insurance for already?!? I felt like he really just didn't sympathize for the fact that I already paid $65 for the voucher and was just trying to make money off of me anyway he could. So sad customer service. read more
