I've enjoyed the great results I've seen from the laser hair removal just as much as I've enjoyed speaking with her during our appointments. Second, the machine she uses is great-- NO PAIN WHATSOEVER! Additionally, I've noticed that many laser removal tools at other places seemed to get hot and burn my skin, but Marietta's laser hair removal equipment remains cool throughout the entire process. Third, she is very meticulous and makes sure she doesn't miss a single hair or zap the same spot twice. I also really appreciated that she personally called me after our first session to see if I had any additional questions or any complications following the procedure. So considerate! She always takes her time to assess my skin, give me advice, and provide a customized facial, leaving my skin clear and glowing! I never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. Aside from working wonders on my face, Grace is such a wonderful and sweet human, and she always makes me feel relaxed, pampered, and beautiful. She also made sure I wasn't uncomfortable or in pain, which I really appreciated. Yolanda is also so easy to get along with and talk to, and is clearly very skilled at everything she does. Her knowledge of all of her services gave me such peace of mind. I actually ended up also doing the lash lift + tint with David, who was SO lovely, and also so meticulous about perfecting his skill (as was Yolanda). I had been noticing that my forehead lines and crows feet had been getting deeper and deeper over the last few years and I had been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to start the journey of preventative Botox. I met with Janelle and shared my concerns, specifically around negative stigma on getting botox, and she really helped me get on board. She went over the pros the cons (really were none), timelines, healing and anything else you could think of. We mapped out my treatment and after I was treated she checked in with me to check in on how I was feeling and progress. The level of care and professionalism is seriously unmatched! Additionally, I had expressed some concerns with the look of my lips and was exploring filler - but I could not tell you how much I said I wanted a natural look. I was super nervous that I would have too much of a dramatic change that I wouldn't have liked. Janelle took a conservative approach to my lips and I couldn't have loved them any more. She worked with me and listened to my wants/needs rather than just injecting the amount she thought would look good. After my 2 week check-in, we agreed that we needed a bit more and Janelle was super receptive to what I was looking for. The office was super clean and surprisingly easy to get to especially being in the heart of Hoboken. I can't wait to see how my treatments continue to heal. During the appointment, extensive extractions were performed without any clear discussion that they would be added as an additional service or incur an extra $40 charge. I had never even heard of extensive extractions. I asked the owner Annette, for an invoice and was surprised to see the added charges. The next day I woke up with significant scabbing and lingering marks that extended beyond the original blemishes I came in with. You could actually see her literal nail marks scabbing (see pictures) Over a week later, I am still dealing with visible marks from the treatment. What has been most frustrating is the way this was handled afterward. The business acknowledged that communication surrounding the extractions "could have been handled better" and initially offered the $40 as a future credit, yet later refused any reimbursement once I requested a partial refund instead of another service. Annette even went as far as saying that the fresh nail marks and trauma she inflicted on my face was already there prior. There was also confusion regarding taxes charged on my invoice that was later described as a "system error." I also want to clarify that although the tax was refunded, it was not proactively issued when the error occurred, but only after I followed up about it again later. Similarly, aftercare instructions were not initially provided after the appointment and were only sent after I reached out with concerns regarding my skin's reaction. I would strongly encourage clients to carefully review their receipts and ask questions about any add-on services before treatment begins. Annette didn't check in on me once after I shared my concerns. I made multiple attempts to resolve this privately, respectfully and fairly because I genuinely did not want to leave a negative review but I am compelled to share so others are aware of the type of business this is. Unfortunately, after spending approximately $245 including tip, I was left with lingering facial marks and no meaningful resolution. I understand every skin type reacts differently, but clients also deserve clear communication, informed consent regarding additional services and charges, accountability, and proper follow-up when concerns are raised.
