Sabor a Mexico is great place to go for authentic, tasty and traditional Mexican food. My wife and I visited here with her parents on a weekday night. When we pulled into this restaurant off highway 60 in Brandon, we figured we were in for a wait. The parking lot was packed and was had to park way in the back. We walked into the lively and bustling restaurant but were seated immediately in a large booth. There was plenty of seating. Our server was around quickly. She was friendly and got us started on drinks. My and my father-in-law had a beer. Modelo with lime. They bring you salsa and chips to snack on when you get seated. The salsa was fresh and refreshing. It was a nice mix of liquid and chunky. It had substance to it and was zingy with a slight spice but nothing I couldn't handle. We finished at least three baskets of chips. For dinner, my wife and I both ordered the tacos. This plate came with 4 tacos. Each topped with cilantro, chopped onions and a slice of avocado. I ordered two with pastor and two with steak. The food was up quick. I doused my tacos in both sauces they came with without trying them first. One of them was spicy. I don't do well with too much spice. A squeeze of lime and these tacos were all set. Simple but tasty and filling. They hit the spot and I really enjoyed them. My wife did too. My wife's parents also enjoyed their meals. One got a chipotle chicken dish and the other got a quesadilla. All the food was fresh and flavorful. This place was busy and more people kept coming in so I'd say Sabor A Mexico is known in Brandon for their good food. You should check it out!

The ambiance was pretty cool , great music selection ! I definitely recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for a great Mexican spot ! You Won't Be Disappointed . The staff are very courteous and friendly ! Food came out quick and hot and tasty ! The Dr Pepper was really good too .

Fish ceviche is on point! Perfection! I have tasted shrimp ceviche at a few other places, but Sabor's is the best. One star taken away as they really need to update their raggedy booths.

So we had a large group, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The ambience is festive, and the service is excellent. Our food all came out at nearly the same time even someone who ordered later than the rest of the group. The hibiscus tea was perfect-not too sweet. The fajitas were very flavorful, and everything seemed so fresh.

No sauce and 14.00 just for this.

Order takeout. Picked up the order and realized they did not give me chips and salsa. Walked back in and was informed if you do take out you do not get chips and salsa. The price is still the same if you eat in versus takeout. If you were doing pick up would not recommend this place. 14.00 for 3 Enchiladas no rice or beans.

Entertaining music, cheap drinks, bar snacks, games and locals. The bartender was attentive and friendly, sharing some specials with us and talking with some regulars. I went on a Wednesday night so it was empty for the most part however, I was told to come back on a Friday night or Taco Tuesday night for live music and more of a crowd. I personally enjoy a less busy environment to wind down and enjoy a few beers with my friends so if you're looking for that, check them out on a less busy night. Open till 3am!

Tonight at 9:30 the bartender said everybody who plays has to all buy a drink even if it's a $2 water. Meanwhile, he said that normal nights the game is $1.50. Nobody was in the bar other than him and one other person that seemed to be his friend. One of our friends bought a drink when we first came in but he was especially rude for no reason. We don't know the name of the bartender but it was a large dark skin man we hadn't seen before. Do not recommend if you're young. They also don't have liquor or cocktails just cans and glasses of beer/seltzers. I never leave reviews but for no reason and completely unprovoked we were immediately treated with disrespect and unprofessional behavior.

This time I was in here for the shepherd's pie. From being here before, I'd seen someone else order it and noticed it comes in a mini cast iron; he serving option alone is already promising. The shepherd's pie is absolutely delicious, no notes. The mash on top was broiled with just enough crisp, so smooth and creamy underneath. The ground meat below was cooked hot with smoke, and every bite was hearty and rich, with noticeable touches of herb. I don't like peas, so the shepherd's pie here coming with carrots instead makes it even better for me, and the crispy shallots on top give an occasional crunch. So far I've tried three dishes here, and I've been happy with all of them. These dishes are the kind I'd come back for, but this really solidifies the impression that most, if not all, of the menu would be worth trying. Pair that with the friendly, attentive staff and the relaxing atmosphere, and this is for sure a top pick.

The menus were kind of old and a little soiled so if the food is good here I will never know because I wouldn't touch the menus. Sat at the bar and asked for the name of a beer they had on tap. She gave me a generic answer and it turns out she was right. It was just called Channelside IPA. Still the interaction wasn't very pleasant and in fact was a little awkward. Definitely didn't feel welcome. Also didn't help that I am naturally a smart Alec. All I know is we definitely didn't click. I settled in on a Smithwicks Red Ale. Finished my beer and promptly left. The experience was Meh. The beer was good though.
