Extremely Disappointing Experience - Check Your Bill Carefully…read more I attended the October 10, 2026 party at Kan Zaman with a group of seven guests, and the entire experience was marked by poor food quality, missing menu items, and serious billing discrepancies. When I made the reservation with Mike, I was told that admission prices for the event ranged from $25 to $80 per person. I specifically selected the $50 admission option. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged $70 per person instead. We ordered a large sharing platter that was clearly listed on the menu for $95. According to the menu, the platter included kafta, kabab, chicken, shrimp, and four side dishes. What was delivered to our table was nowhere near what was advertised. It arrived with only kafta, kabab, and two side dishes. The chicken, shrimp, and two additional sides were missing. After we complained, the manager took the platter back and returned about 30 minutes later with chicken and the missing side dishes added. The shrimp was still missing. The biggest issue was the quality of the kabab. It was so tough that it was difficult to cut with a knife and nearly impossible to eat. Even after the platter was replaced, the meat quality remained the same. Most of it was left untouched. When the final bill arrived, the problems became even worse. The platter that was listed on the menu for $95 was charged at $165, an unexplained increase of $70. In addition, a 20% gratuity was added automatically. After I questioned the bill, management agreed to provide a credit for part of the overcharge. However, gratuity and taxes were still calculated on the higher amount before the discount was applied. No customer should have to spend the evening verifying menu prices, disputing charges, and correcting billing errors. Between the admission fee discrepancy, the overcharged food item, the missing menu items, the poor quality of the food, and the billing issues, this was one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I have had. My advice to anyone visiting Kan Zaman is simple: request an itemized bill, compare every charge to the menu, and review the bill carefully before paying. Based on my experience, that is absolutely necessary. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.
