The staff are friendly and they seem to be pretty good at making sure they do a good job (not rushed) and they give a pretty good foot massage - not half assed like some other places. The selection of polishes is great - a lot of variety with brands, in case you are particular to one. They have all the staples - OPI, CND, etc. It's a small place, so don't expect that serene spa like experience. It's relatively clean and cheap (I think my pedicure was $28, not including tip). It's been like 3 wks and it's held up remarkably well! There is some parking in front - it's located in the strip plaza in Scarborough. There is currently construction around this area so be careful to look out for the entrance into the plaza as it may be blocked off (I think you can go around to the side entrance of the plaza if that is the case)

Attentive, cares about what you want, and tries to get the desired look. She was all alone working by herself in the morning weekday, so call ahead and book appointments are a must! Unless you don't mind waiting, but she said she usually does not take walk ins. In the afternoon there's about 2-3 ladies joining her. Good selection of colors (bioseaweed and opi) for shellac. Solid amount of colors for non shellac too. Nail art, waxing and other services available too. I only got a shellac manicure (real nails). Next time I'll come for a refill and add the pedicure.

Clean, friendly, welcoming, and even helped me find the business when I was called and lost. I received a full set of get nails by Sky, and she delivered exactly what I wanted. She took her time, was meticulous with her work and evem gave a little hand massage. Thank you Soho and sky for delivering aetvice that customers want and deserve. I've brought a few friends and they are all now converts (one even drives nearly 25 minutes to patron it). Both times I've done walk-ins, they've been able to handle me right away and without some of the issues I've had at other places. They've also been great about booking appointments, and it isn't hard to book if you're not fussy about which manicurist you get. It's clean, and doesn't have that horrible smell that many nail salons do. It's not fancy, but it's well maintained, and they have very fair prices. It's also not overly busy and somewhat quiet, which is SO nice. I used to go to Top Queen down on Lawrence, but the service was so horrible, the place so loud, and the smell was SO bad that I couldn't do it anymore - Kimmy's was literally a breath of fresh air. I've had their shellacs last nearly FOUR WEEKS without chipping, which is pretty unreal. My last one had a few small issues (practically nothing) a week after getting it, but I was in with a friend, and the manicurist who was helping my friend noticed and got one of the other women there to touch it up free of charge. It really is a lovely salon. Not fancy, but if you're looking for cheap, good service, they are worth it.

I used the washroom today before my appointment and it was really dirty - sink area dirty, floor and no paper towels to dry your hands. Last time I was a little upset about how unkept the technicians station was - didn't look like it had been cleaned for weeks. Now I don't work here but it only takes a couple minutes to clean up after each customer and there should be no reason why it's so dirty. I'm only getting a manicure today and glad it's not a pedicure. There are no mats on the floor or slippers/flip flops to change into to walk on after a pedicure and the floor is filthy from wet books and shoes tracking in debris from outside. Shame because the place is great otherwise. The lady that has done my manicures is just fantastic and I've had a pedicure here last week and she did an awesome job. I just can't get past their housekeeping. That and I made the appt on line yesterday- then they called and said - we need to a move your appt to 11:30 - no problem I said - I got here and 11:20 and have been waiting ever since..it's now 12:15. Unfortunately I don't think I will be back because of the polish job. The application is quite uneven and when I got home I noticed that there was polish - both coloured and clear - on my skin. The workers here are lovely but I think I will go back to my old salon in the junction - it is a bit of a trek for me now but they do a really good job and are less expensive.
