I honestly cannot say enough good things about Monica. She completely exceeded our expectations. We had seen her portfolio on her website and her Instagram pictures, and while those were still great, ours were absolutely phenomenal. We chose the elopement package since we only needed her for two and a half hours so we didn't get to meet with her beforehand. Even then, when she first showed up to my hotel room, I felt like I had known her for years. She was insanely personable. She even brought her mom to help (and I don't know what we would have done without her!!!) and it was perfect because she was able to lay my train out in the grass and move my veil and everything in such a beautiful way that I couldn't have imagined our pictures looking any better. Monica had set the expectation that it was wedding season in Flagstaff and that our photos would take a month or so to be finished. And here we are, two weeks later, and we received an adorable little wooden box with a picture of us on the front and the jump drive inside with all of the edited pictures!! We love that she didn't overdo the editing and all of the poses she suggested still looked very natural and not forced. She even brought us champagne, champagne flutes, and a fruit cake to celebrate! They made for even more wonderful pictures in Buffalo Park. You can tell she has a lot of experience at that location because she said things like, "are those mountains ready for me yet?" referring to the way the sun was setting and turns the mountains pink. My fiance, Carrie Jo, and I are having a fall wedding in September and started looking for a photographer as soon as we knew. However, being an LGBT couple we were nervous about hiring photographers as there are still many individuals that aren't accepting of LGBT couples being able to marry and are uncomfortable around us holding hands, kissing, etc. The first time we met with Monica to discuss our wedding and her expertise, we knew we had nothing to worry about! We hired Monica for our fall wedding in September of this year and she couldn't be easier to work with. She provides lots of packets of information on what to expect out of photo shoots, day-of planning, and makes payments easy. This is especially convenient as we aren't hiring a day-of planner (we're doing it all ourselves!). While planning our very nontraditional, outdoor, barbecue wedding in Flagstaff, we realized that we needed to be a little bit traditional and send wedding invitations. What are wedding invitations without engagement photos? Securing a date and time with Monica was quick and she greatly welcomed our 86 lbs Belgian Malinois to join us (our dog liked her too which was a plus - she isn't a fan of most people). My fiance actually hates her picture to be taken, but Monica got us laughing and smiling and she relaxed right away! She is great with providing poses and suggestions when you don't know what to do with your hands. The turnaround was extremely fast on the edited pictures (delivered through Dropbox) and was easily paid through PayPal. The quality of the photos are gorgeous and inexpensive! Every year since my kids were babies I have done annual family photos to capture our memories and finding a photographer has always been a challenge. Every time I'd find one to use regularly they ended up moving out of state. This year we decided to go up to Northern Arizona and I thought it would be a nice change of scenery to do our annual photos there but was a bit worried about finding a photographer. After doing some internet searches I stumbled across Monica's page and I can say what a gem of a find that was. From the burg I got correspondence she was professional, detailed, and offering multiple ideas, not to mention I feel like her prices are completely fair, so I was looking forward to the pictures. In the day of the photos I was even more pleased when she showed up and was quite possibly one of the nicest people I've met in awhile but her flexibility and patience was incredible. My family includes 3 dogs which you can imagine can be quite a chore trying to photograph, then the session also had some delays with my son running late and having a wardrobe mishap further delaying the schedule. I felt awful but Monica was so flexible and understanding and didn't make us feel rushed at all. Then the 4 day turnaround on the pics that turned out wonderfully was the icing on the cake. Look no further! Monica is amazing! We're from Austin and our group of six was spending just a couple of days in beautiful Sedona before heading to Scottsdale. After researching a number of photographers in the area, I booked a 90 minute session with Monica and we had some pretty specific goals to accomplish. We needed engagement photos for my son and his fiancé, photos of my daughter and her bestie, photos of me and my hubby, singles of everyone, and a long overdue family portrait. Monica fit it all in between two locations with two outfit changes. We were all about efficiency -- moving through the shoot quickly, yet still having fun. I really appreciated that Monica came totally prepared. The locations were perfect, the lighting was great, and she knew how to pose us so we looked natural -- and captured some spontaneous images as well. I also appreciated how she curated a wonderful group of photos for us (didn't have to wade through the bad ones) and her edits were terrific. LOVED her easy online ordering for high quality prints since our home printer is less than ideal. Monica is really talented and personable. Although we were happy to have her take full control and move us through the shoot at a nice pace, I'm confident she would be very adaptable to those individuals or families who might bring their own ideas to the shoot and prefer a leisurely pace. Monica photographed my husband and I's wedding ceremony, and I could not be more obsessed with how the pictures came out and our experience as a whole. She was punctual, professional, and truly a pro at making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We even had our 4 dogs and my family dog at the wedding, and she captured the best picture of my husband and I with all 5 dogs actually looking at the camera! She had the best prompts for the cutest pictures, and had scouted out 2 locations in addition to the actual venue prior to our wedding, which was totally unexpected and appreciated. Monica is such an incredibly talented photographer. I have gone with her on various landscape shoots and so many countless prints of hers have been proudly displayed in local Flagstaff businesses for sale. Her work is simply breathtaking. My fiancé and I live in Pennsylvania and had a trip planned to visit the Grand Canyon. The idea popped into my head to do our engagement photos while on our trip without any prior knowledge of photographers in the area. I searched photographers in the Grand Canyon area and Saaty Photography came up as top rated. I took a chance with Monica, solely going off of her reviews, website and Instagram photos. I booked her for a session in mid-April and I am so thankful I took the risk! Monica was fantastic. She was very professional but also extremely personable. Since we did not know the area, we left the location and time up to Monica and she knocked the whole process out of the park. We took our pictures at Lipan Point, on East Rim Drive at sunrise before it got crowded or hot. I cannot express how happy we are with how well the photos turned out. I was concerned with having to pose ourselves but Monica gave us instruction with each photo about how to pose, where to look, and what to do with our hands! She took us around the rim and allowed us to change our outfits to get different types of shots. Monica was wonderful! I had a vision for our engagement pictures and was so excited when I found Monica and Saaty Photography. We booked a trip to Vegas and thought it would be a great idea to get engagement pictures taken in the Grand Canyon. Being travelers, it can be hard to plan, know the best spots, what to wear, etc. From the start, Monica provided links to ALL of these resources: suggestions on what to wear, the best places to go in the Canyon for what we envisioned. We don't take photos often and are somewhat awkward, but Monica directed us every step of the way in our pictures and had great ideas for some shots with our doughnut props. Monica did the shoot for my daughter's senior portraits. I must have sent her a million emails with questions. She was quick with her helpful responses. I got a hold of monica through web browsing her site was very well done and professional. I wanted to hire her to take photos as a surprise to my wife for our anniversary. Monica was easy to get a hold of and had great suggestions for outdoor locatiins we could shoot. We were in Sedona and monica made the trip out to us and was right on time. The weather was not as perfect as we would have like. Monica offered to cime back on sunday, i thought that was very professional and i appreciated the offer but we decided to go ahead with the shoot right then. Luckily for us the weather turned in our favor through the shoot. We had trouble figuring out our schedule due to some extraneous circumstances, but she was very flexible and willing to work with us to make our photo session happen. She offered us a number of options, and was able to tailor the shoot to the type of ceremony we had planned. When it came time for our actual photo shoot, I had a couple of specific ideas, but not much else. She put in a lot of effort to make sure that my specific desires were met, and was very creative in helping me fill in the gaps so that the final shoot would be complete.
