So I have been suspecting of them stealing on aluminum prices. I have kept the last 4-6 tickets and have sold the same item over the last couple times to track how much they have been stealing. The aluminum price has not changed, in fact it has gone up. The last ticket which was on Friday they paid out less than half from early February of this year. They are at a very easy to fund location. There rates on steel recycling are right about at the industry standard. Other better non ferrous metals should probably go to another yard. Definitely not the place to go to if you're just recycling cans. They actually pay less then half of what other places pay for cans. It is what it is I guess. These guys don't have good customer service. They right away treat you like a crook by having 2-3 guys rummaging through your metal with magnets to make sure you aren't trying to trick them on the material you separated for them. This is the biggest ripoff place! The first employee helped me unload my metals and gave me 2 receipts, one for $130.00 and one for $10.00. I asked him why I only got $10.00 for the copper coil. He said it was a motor, so I said I would take it back. Then the manager came over, took both receipts from me and reprinted one for $5.82. I should have taken all my things back, but I didn't want to load them back in my car. Had regrets all the way home! read more

The employees Schemed amongst each other And docked all of the metal I brought in as dirty knowing that only a few pieces fell into that category. I had a barrel of Computer chips a trash can of copper wire a wire a Trow to trash in a regular wire wire a pallet of aluminum And I was given a $120. This was just so they could get on to the next customer and I couldn't help but feel discriminated all while costing me both my time and money because they didn't want to do their job. BAIT AND SWITCH Tell me one price they would pay for my steel. After delivery and unloading they cut the price in half. To add insult to injury, the reckless unloading of my trailer with their gigantic jaws, they destroyed one of my perfectly good trailer ramps. There are better options. Beware of this company. UPDATE: Nobody reached out to me, after my review was submitted several weeks ago, with either an apology or a promise to get it right next time. This was my first time selling to a scrap yard and I must say it was a very positive experience! So glad I came here. I had heard stories of other scrap yards quoting you one price and then changing/ lowering the prices for one reason or the other. Not here...the price I was quoted was the price I received. As a newbie...I had a lot of questions about the process. Martin and the crew there were super-friendly, answered all my questions and walked me through the process. I was in an out in no time at all! The cashier was friendly and even the owner came out to chat with me and to thank me for my business. I felt like I was their nest customer! No direct where to go when you get in the yard. I felt like a criminal taking in MOSTLY aluminum cans and No copper. Need ID and vehicle license plate number, then when you get paid, they do another vehicle check, take your picture and fingerprint scan. And the lady was rude. I felt dirty leaving there. I think the chick that did the review before me must have been on shrooms or high on something...you DO NOT even get paid fairly! .61 cents a pound and because, he gave a deal since, they DON'T have coupons anymore otherwise, I would've made .50 something cents a pound! WTF?! I made $7.00 measly ass dollars for cutting my finger and getting ogled by transients and riff raff. Don't get me wrong the guy that helped me was very kind but, I still felt ripped off. I've recycled here for many years because I don't want to toss metals into the landfill. The employees are efficient, and courteous. It's a very big operation and the process is smooth. We took aluminum cans there today to recycle them. There were no signs to tell us where to go or what to do. We followed another vehicle onto the weigh ramp and a woman in a mask came out and asked what we had to drop off. When we said cans, she yelled that we were in the wrong place and to go to the warehouse, and disappeared quickly into the office. We had already been over to what must have been the warehouse, but couldn't find anyone. We went back and I asked a guy leaving the building if this was were to bring cans. He said yes, and continued walking away. I went in and called "Hello" four times before a worker came out of a lounge and told me to put the cans in a big bin. Then he went back in the lounge and left me there. The guy who had walked away earlier came back after a few minutes and motioned for my husband to pull the can across the concrete and up onto a scale. There was a sign that said "Do not cross the white line" and the scale was on the opposite side of the line. We did it though, had only one or two words with the man and he handed me some paper receipts and walked away. I threw up my hands and said "What do I do with these?" and he told me to go to the cashier. There was nothing telling where that was, so I had to ask again....The cashier was very nice, but everyone else was cranky, unhelpful, practically silent/rude in dealing with us. read more

This was our first and last time trying this place! We are general contractors and had some old pipes to unload. There was no one in the yard directing us, or at the least signs directing us. We parked and went to the office where we were told to pull up under the awning and someone would help us. Two employees stood looking at us, but would not even acknowledge our presence. Once I walked into their building, a man came out and spoke bad English. He saw some cardboard boxes on our trailer, and said we don't take cardboard. We weren't there for cardboard, but copper and iron pipes that were also on our trailer. Then I think he wanted us to go on the scales when I was trying to explain why we were there. He said he took copper but walked away after I told him we had copper. Every person we experienced was rude. We left in frustration, and decided to just dump everything at the landfill, it wasn't worth the hassle! read more

sa in tucson is a very bad place to do your metal recycling period!!! they will rip you off!! their scales are bad! or they just ripped us off for 75 pounds!!! and the issue was brought to their attention!! and they did nothing!!! the 1st time!! i had clean stainless steel, the people they have working there are not knowledgable at all, as to what metal is what!! highly recommend that you know what you have before taking your metal here!! sa heard from my husband the next day!! one manager made good on it, and the cash went from $170 to over a thousand dollars!! to the public! 400 series stainless' is magnetic!!! they tried to give me dirty stainless price!! we will never use sa again!!!!! look around there is a better company just down the road. oh make sure you take all the bolts/ screws off your clean stainless cause they will give you dirty price for your whole load!!. not a reputable place! the more sa cheats you, the more sa makes!!, remember this!!! not fair to customers! read more
