Short drive on a dirt rd reminds me of living out in the area in early 70s when thornydale was a dirt rd & the eagles & country rock ruled . Nostalgia aside it's worth the drive on sat am's ( 8 am -?) this large wholesale nursery is open to the public only sat am . Like worth the drive it's worth the wait to visit Desert Trees with a huge variety of low water , desert tolerant plants , cacti , & trees . I called during the week to order my specific plant (s) & color (s) with Sandy . Arrived on sat & order was ready yet welcomed to look around for more. Tony was also very helpful wearing a gaitor mask . ( FYI very quiet not like waiting in crowded lines in box box stores nurseries).I saw a unique purple blooming " Texas ranger although they were not PC historically) it was called a convent rare & would be great planted or in a pot . Sandy said they have 5 different types of the same plant ! If you want unique it's available there . No fancy yard art just great selection & great prices . It was a fun educational adventure to re visit a local 40+ year old tucson treasure Desert Trees. You may want to use your gos app for directions .

We finally settled on Acacia because of how very helpful the gentleman was when we stopped by. He explained several options and pros and cons of each and gave us a quote immediately. After further discussion we decided to proceed with the project and stopped by to make our payment. (We had priced out the same plant at 3 other locations which ranged anywhere from 3-7 dollars more expensive, PER plant!) We met with one of the new owners who was absolutely great to work with. She answered all of our questions and even let our dog hang in the office with us while we checked out. (I'm a sucker for any dog lovers!) The two gentleman who delivered our large order were thourough, experienced and extremely helpful!! They even got a pesky oleander out we had been fighting with for a few weeks!! We will only be using Acacia going forward due to their stellar customer assistance, knowledge, and price. Highly recommended!!

The staff was friendly and responsive, and happy to help while I was looking around. One of the highlights was definitely the koi ponds--they were really cool to watch, and spotting the turtle hanging out with the koi was an unexpected bonus. They also have a nice variety of pots and plant accessories, so it's easy to find everything you need in one stop. Great plants, great atmosphere, and even some entertaining aquatic roommates. Definitely worth a visit!

I am glad we stopped in! They had a fantastic selection of plants along with a wide variety of needs like soils, grow lights, pots and more. The prices were great as well, both my mother and I ended up buying several plants and my mom even had a few planted in store as they had a deal where if you bought a plant & a pot, they would repot the plant into the pot for you. They also sold Koi fish in different sizes for anyone looking to start a pond in their yard. We live up in Phoenix, but this store would be worth the drive to go down and visit to pick up some more plants when we are looking for them. Our plants made it back on the trip perfectly fine & they still look fantastic. I can't wait to see their growth, and I will be trying out an indoor plant fertilizer I bought at Ecogro to help some of my other indoor plants flourish as well. If you are a plant lover, I highly recommend checking this spot out.
