Being that this was good Friday and the Spaniards eat late, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We settled for Sopes mallorquines (Mallorcian soup), oysters for appetizer and steaks for main. Appetizers were very flavorful and hearty. We had tenderloin and USDA ribeye which melted in our mouths. We were full but seeing that our meals were superb we had to complete our palette for the evening. We had chocolate coulant (lava chocolate) with mint icecream and my husband had white chocolate mouse with raspberry icecream. Again delicious!!! The house wine was also very good and smooth. We loved the atmosphere, staff and of course the food. There is an antique and historical feel to the cafe. The cafe outside was packed with people. We each enjoyed a drink (cava) and a variety of tapas (grilled baby squid, cod salad, Mallorcan salad, beef stew, Spanish tortilla etc.) At the end of the meal we each had a cafe con leche and dessert (Catalan Cream and passion fruit sorbet). We enjoyed our experience so much we returned the next day for more tapas (mushrooms and chorizo).
