I could not have imagined a better lunch for our last day. Down a small dirt road that you're not sure leads anywhere lies Sa Caleta, aside the stunning cliffs and the aqua sea. Consistent with the Spanish culture I love, service was slower paced but attentive. We sat for hours and enjoyed a chilled rioja and the best paella I have ever had while watching the ocean and locals. The "blind paella" was delicious- I was nervous it would lack in flavor due to the fact that the shells are all removed however there was nothing lacking about it, it was flavorful and delectable! They also have an adorable lower garden area with a more lounge-y vibe that I would love to try out next time.
Be sure to try the Cafe Caleta- a traditional coffee drink native to the area, made with with liqueurs, orange peel, lemon and spices, then set on fire. An acquired taste but you have to try the local cuisine!! read more
