But here it did and the chap who brought my coffee over confirmed it, which was kind. The coffee was good, the ambience laid back and the feeling was of a haven from a bustling street and city. Eventually, I left my regal armchair to get back and on. This café sets a fine standard for competitors to meet.

I'm now pleased to say that Nether Edge has two of the best cafes (Homemade is the other) I've ever been too, and right opposite each other! Nether Edge continues to grow in my estimation.

What a hidden gem !!…read more I called in to watch my son play tennis, not realising that Abbeydale Tennis Cafe had a cafe... The cafe is part of Sheffield's premier tennis club and the staff are so friendly on every visit ! I was able to watch people playing Sport in sumpsous surroundings, and enjoyed a very generous slice of cake with my coffee. Very reasonably priced and I am now a regular visitor to the Cafe.. Highly recommended and ( for me ) the best cake in Sheffield :) Simon T ( Dore Sheffield )
