I discovered Hsieh Dentistry thanks to my wife and got to work with Dr. Willis Hsieh. He's super informative, patient, and educational in how to take care of my teeth. He explained to me my options in terms of issues I had with my teeth (deep cleanings, wisdom teeth erupting, etc...). He was never pushy about a procedure, and simply gave his recommendation and what was urgent that should be taken care of. I came out knowing more and feeling secure. He was also quick, yet gentle/thorough with cleaning my teeth as well as replacing an old chipped filling I had (got it ~10 years ago from my old dentist) which started to decay my tooth. Fortunately, we caught it pretty early on and I didn't need a root canal. Everyone at the office is really kind and sweet. The front office, who's ran by Wendy, was very patient in explaining how my dental insurance works and everyone there from the dentist, front office, and assistants were professional and made me comfortable in every way. Since I get regular cleanings and checkups on my teeth, I didn't think much of it until I started feeling some incredibly intense jaw pain all of a sudden early summer, and for a more than a couple of weeks, I relied on Advil, soft foods at room temperature, and late night video game binges to distract me from the immense discomfort I was going through. I was eventually referred to by my dentist to Valley Green Endodontics and boy am I glad he did. There appeared to be a hard to spot (even by x-ray) hairline crack in a tooth that was found only by removing the filling...and thus the root canal proceeded thereafter. Now, I gotta admit I am terrified of having any work done on my teeth due to - I get incredibly anxious feeling trapped in the chair with the sound of a drill going on. But I was lucky enough to get Dr. Chun, who is as kind and reassuring as she is really knowledgeable as well as super skilled and steady with her tools. She communicated well with me what would happen each step of the way and I felt absolutely no discomfort whatsoever throughout the entire process. Her assistant was also incredible as well. The rest of staff was incredibly nice and easy to talk to and I was happy that my pain - as well as any very mild swelling due to the root canal that happened - subsided pretty quickly. I do need to note although insurance covered a good portion of the root canal, it did not cover the Gentle Wave treatment, which I still thought was worth it for the more thorough cleaning.
