I've lived at SCS Swiderskis River Trail Estates for 11 years and have loved every year here. The manager, David, is very kind, caring, and prompt to answer any emails and/or questions. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and with courtesy. Neighbors are kind and quiet and my apartments (I'm on my second one here) have been spacious and well kept. The area is beautiful nestled between the Eau Claire River Trail and The Mountain Bay Trail. Rents are a bit pricey but the quality of the apartments/townhomes makes up for the little extra you will pay. Keep up the great work Swiderski! read more

For the price we pay, you would think these appliances and fixtures would be nicer on a brand new apartment complex. We've been promised grass and yet have some planted. This is just the tip, super disappointed. I've had a lot of property managers and these guys don't give a sh**. -btw why even put in bathroom fans if they are so weak they pretty much do nothing? Moisture = Mold. read more

You have to do everything online, sign lease and pay rent. Your spouse also has to create a portal. I set up automatic payments out of my checking account. I am not good with computers but apparently I set up auto pay for me and my wife so when rent was due they took out 2 payments. My bank canceled the 2nd payment. Then Swiderski charged me $50.00 for returning the 2nd payment plus $2.49 process fee. When I questioned them they said it was my fault I had set up 2 autopay and if I didn't pay the extra fee I would be charged more yet. It may be legal but NOT RIGHT. read more

Property management and the maintenance crew does not care to maintain the building. There is a smell when you walk in that's pungent and smells dirty. The unit I was given had old strainers falling apart, I replaced them and was still charged when moving out. I was also given a unit with a used toilet seat. I know it was used because it was covered in feces. I wasn't reimbursed for a professional clean or a new seat. I was still charged from my deposit deposit replacing things out of my own pocket that should have been cared for before renting the place. Shelby L - property manager is by far the worst person I've come in contact with in a managment position. She got lucky with the company turnover I guess that she was the only "qualified" individual to take over. Take qualified lightly. She's a joke. read more

I recently joined the SC Swiderski team and I have been very impressed to see the focus on growth this company has. Every day it seems that they are taking strides to offer the best experience for their tenants and I am excited to be a part of this progress! read more

Will steal your security deposit even if you didn't cause damage. In my situation, carpet had small rip near kitchen. We reported it when we moved in and were still charged $700 from our security deposit to replace the carpet in living room and hallway that we also paid to have professionally cleaned as we moved out. Absolute RIP OFF. Stay FAR away read more

The building manager Carla. She's unprofessional and vindictive, and untrustworthy. If there is an inspection coming the next day, instead of being a decent human being and letting you know at a reasonable time, will wait till after business hours and silently leave their little 12 hour notice pink door hangers. not a single phone call, voice or text message or even a courtesy knock on the door, knowing full well no one will see see this notice till well into the next day about half way through your 12 hours. ANY problems found during an inspection will be kept secret from you until she gets back to the main office where she will lie and exaggerate it and will file false complaints from other tenants. When a legitimate claim is brought up against long time residents, such as having a dog ( not allowed by the lease !, Hoarding, noise complaints, open flame candles, etc... ) She'll refuse to enforce their own rules because you've made it to her list. I like these apartments, I felt at home here till she started this unprovoked campaign of lies and false claims. We've paid our considerably high rent on time or in advance and complied with every reasonable and required request, spent well over $200 trying to rectify a problem that does not exist in order to satisfy this woman's falsehoods, to no avail and now they are probably going to be losing a customer that paided on time and in full which I understand that last tenant in this apartment was anything but. DO NOT RENT from this company. read more

The apartment I rented was in decent shape, but continued to have an odor and would hit you when you walked in. I fixed the issue with plug ins that had good smells, which helped. I was "robbed" of my security deposit, and actually owed them money when I moved out. I did break my lease, but asked the landlord prior to moving out, if I would lose my security deposit for this and she said no. I actually had found a renter and did everything I was told--I was responsible for the apartment for a year lease, which I knew, but was understanding that someone moves in and takes the lease, I would be off the hook. After not getting my security deposit after 30 days of my moving out (mind you I busted but butt to get out in the middle of a snow storm as my new renter was moving in the next week), I called them and they said that they just got a renter in and they moved in on 21st, so I would be charged for the 3 weeks rent. Okay, frustrating, but fair, I could've been stuck with the year, as I signed a year lease. However, after I get the security deposit "letter" they charged me an extra 400.00 for break of lease. This seems to be wrong. I am charged for all the time that the apartment was not rented, but then another charge for breaking my lease early. What a shame to treat people this way, and I too was a good renter who paid 865.00 a month on time always... read more
