The train station is clean, there is a ticket machine located on the platform and if you need help you may have to ask someone on the platform to help you

There is a discount supermarket (Penny Market) on the first floor, a sauna and gym in the hotel and the S3 Bahn Subway/Railway station is about 300 meters away (Munich Central Station, Hauptbahnhof, is about 20 minutes away on the S3). You can even hear birds in the area in late March when you open windows. The staff was very helpful and even let us check in a lot earlier than normal check in time. The price was very reasonable. The room is spacious, clean, well kept, and the beds were very comfortable (we had three people). The wireless connection worked well and the TV had a variety of channels including English ones. We will definitely stay here again anytime we are in Munich. The only issues we had are more personal preference or cultural difference ones, such as shower water pressure could have been better, and the pillows for the beds are interesting but workable (they consisted of one oversized square pillow that was made like a down comforter, and some small aircraft like pillows). We brought our own pillows because of neck issues and the combination worked great. The check in is on the second floor, so we suggest you get your room first, park in underground garage and bring luggage up in the elevator. Overall, this has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in and hope to do so again.

This hotel is about 20 minutes out of the city, and when we came in at 9pm, seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. But it was a short walk from the S-Bahn, and a straight shot to the Stadtmitte and Main Train Station which makes it convenient, if not out of the way. The reception was happy to accept our late check in (we emailed in advance) and the room we were given was big and on the first floor. It has a little sitting area with a couch and a kitchenette with free coffee and tea service, but a charge for other drinks and snacks in the mini bar. Comfortable, clean and convenient. Pretty cheap too. Can't get much better than that.

Summary: Really one of the better hotels I've stayed at in Munich in this price range…read more Rooms: Much bigger than normal, and most of the rooms have a queen bed. Several also have a bedroom separate from the living room. Good noise insulation, quiet. Amenities: Good overall, my only complaint (and this is a big one for me) is the gym is just not adequate. They just have one elliptical, one treadmill, and one bike. No weights, machines, etc. That just isn't enough for me, or most Americans. They have the space.. even if they just added one elliptical (so there would be 2) and a basic set of dumbbells that went to 50 lbs and had a freestanding bench that would be a huge improvement (if they did, I'd up this to 5 stars). Service: Pretty good overall. They struggle a bit when you get outside of the normal requests, but once the women who work at the desk know who you are, they really are much better than most I've encountered about trying to be helpful and providing good customer service. There have been a few instances where I was really been in a bind and they went WAY out of their way to help me.

The restaurant and bar on site was quite nice and the breakfast in the same location was simply amazing. The only "con" is that it's not in the center of town but that was intentional on our part. We wanted more of a peaceful evening than a bustling city. In addition, there is a grocery store within walking distance and several great restaurants in the town. I highly recommend this hotel for both value and surroundings!

The lobby looked pretty elegant. And of course, when I see a bar located in the lobby, that always a plus in my book. We stopped in one night for a beer after work. Didn't have anything to eat, but the beers the bartender recommended was pretty good. When I walked in my room, I was pleasantly surprised how nice the room looked. It felt like being a mountain cottage. The living room and the sitting area is on one floor, and the stairs takes you to the bedroom the floor above. I got a nice king size bed in a very spacious room. There was a nice roof window where you get a great outside view from the bedroom. Bathrooms on both floors so you don't have to take the stairs in case of emergency. The room was very clean and properly maintained. Everything in the room was working, and they clean the room and make your bed everyday. Overall, it was a very nice room to say in. I am pretty sure we paid extra because we stayed during Oktoberfest, but I think the price was worth it, especially for business travelers. They also offer free breakfast, and its not just bagels and danishes with coffees. I stayed in other Holidays Inns in US before and none of them looked and felt as nice as this one. Would love to come back to Munich and stay here again!
