In fact, we specifically drove here to see what the middle of nowhere looks like. I certainly wasn't expecting to find a general store along the journey, but here it was. The store is owned and operated by an Amish family who appeared as equally surprised to see me. They carry canned and jarred foods, some fresh fruit and vegetables, bulk snacks and candies, various soft drinks and juices. I think I noticed a small deli case with meats and cheeses. Homemade sourdough bread, and cinnamon rolls, were available for purchase. The family was very friendly and talkative. I suppose it can get lonely being in the middle of nowhere. Not sure of their hours of operation, but I am sure they would be happy if you stop by to say hello!
