He tested the control board and said it was the issue, collected my service fee, then an hour later sent an estimate for more than the price I paid for the oven two years ago. I can look at the part online and they are wanting to charge double, plus $500 for roughly the same labor that they just spent doing for a $65 service fee. So while they were quick to respond and nice enough... I'm still up a creek with less money and more wasted time.

I'm So GRATEFUL to JOSH with WPK APPLIANCE SERVICE. My…read more9-year-old LG refrigerator went out Wednesday night, and I didn't realize this. It was purchased at Best Buy, so I started there with the GeekSquad. It's usually the compressor that fails, but it has a 10-year warranty. So, I called LG, and almost 2 hours later, on the phone calls no one could help me until next week (with the holiday weekend). I called Josh he said it's probably the compressor, which he had in stock. Josh had a very full day on Friday; he asked me if he could come out Friday morning at 7 am. I said YES. Josh was at my door at 7 am sharp. He was very knowledgeable, had fair prices (he diagnosed the issue on the phone), and was friendly. Josh put the new compressor in and fixed my refrigerator in 45 minutes. Josh also told me that LG has redesigned the compressor, and there haven't been any problems with the new ones.
