On Monday, June 8, I used Yelp to contact several local junk removal companies. One of the owners…read morecalled me directly, and during that conversation I was quoted $140 or 145 for the job. I remember that amount clearly because it was lower than another quote I had received, which was between $150 and $200. We agreed on the price and scheduled the pickup for the morning of Thursday, June 11. On the day of the appointment, I received a call letting me know the crew would be running late, which was not a problem. Later, I received another call saying they had arrived, followed by a call regarding the price. This immediately raised concerns because I believed the quote had already been discussed and finalized days earlier. The employee performing the removal told me the price was now $200. I explained that I had been quoted $140 by the owner when we scheduled the appointment. He then contacted the owner for clarification and later called me back, confirming they would do for $145 quote and proceed with the job. I should have written down the price as well, but I *assumed* being schedule in the quote would have been listed and communicated to the other associates. Shortly afterward, I received a call from the owner claiming that we had never discussed a $145 price and that the amount was too low. I found this frustrating, especially considering I had no reason to invent a number that I specifically remembered because it was lower than competing quotes. While the company ultimately agreed to proceed at the quoted amount, the entire situation could have been avoided with proper record-keeping and communication. To put the matter behind me and avoid further back-and-forth, I ultimately paid $185. While the job was completed, the confusion surrounding the pricing left a negative impression and made what should have been a straightforward service unnecessarily stressful.

Although RISE Hauling has several post and followers on the Gram...followers don't tell me jack…read moreabout Quality! I like actual reviews. Guess I'm old school like that. Plus, I try to stay away from social media as much as possible so for me... hiring a company with ONLY like 7 Google reviews was the equivalent of picking up a guy off the street and giving him a rake... I was VERY apprehensive, needless to say! Plus, I'm from Los Angeles where we are used to businesses having hundreds, if not thousands of reviews. A small business like this needs at least 50+ reviews to even be considered relevant down the hill. Still, I am boldly learning that things are a bit different up here in the High Desert, and the majority of places don't have many reviews as strange and counterproductive as it may seem! But no need to worry... I LUCKED out and had a wonderful experience with RISE Hauling Service! And my property has never looked better. Raymond is an OAK. Man, this guy is no joke, straight serious. Don't get me wrong, he's NOT a jerk or anything...but I guarantee you he's not going to show up with a 6 pack trying to go to "Work" as we already had one HVAC guy show up high as a kite last year :( NO... Raymond is delightfully professional and a VERY capable business man at such a young age! Which was quite shocking to me. What a breath of fresh air with all the knuckle heads up here...but not RISE! Raymond and his worker were on time, respectful and professional. They took only ONE lunch break and were working the entire time otherwise which was very noticeable and appreciated! They also worked through a legit freakish sand storm in my backyard, all the while NOT complaining one bit! For hours I watched these guys work HARD on my security cameras. Just like SUPERMEN, for real!! I jokingly asked them do their wives or girlfriends know just how hard they work? Just looking at them I realized how much energy I literally DON'T have, lol! After the fantastic job they did I asked him about HOW he developed his great work ethic and discipline? He attributed it to his father. ( How sweet, huh ) PRICE wise they were only 50 bucks more than another company I contacted that didn't even have a tractor! The other company also showed up LATE for the free estimate (of all things to be late for) BUT most importantly, all the workers looked fresh out on Bail if you get my drift...lol! Nice people, but NO thanks...not "reforming" folks today...he he! Raymond is the REAL DEAL! RISE cleared all of my weeds and trash (as quoted) and attacked the job with systematic precision. I could tell they do things with a PLAN in mind.... at NO point did either man look winded, tired, bored, or confused! Wow, I truly lucked out and feel confident I got my monies worth. I would recommend RISE to anyone in a heartbeat!
