She would have squashed several of my items, had I not grabbed the bag before did it. Another item is the masks that were worn by Jessica & the young man she was training, their noses were not covered. This makes the mask totally useless. They can & will still send out germs & can still get the virus themselves. I tried to say something to them, but again was talked over & complete ignored. Evidently training is needed there; not only on the use of PPE, but common courtesy. Otherwise peaches were ripe & the apricots were pretty good. Very nice, clean. Customer service very helpful. They have a nice produce section & their meat department isn't too bad. They have some specials on certain items coming to date, rather than just taking them off the shelf; a good thing. I do wish they had more fresh leaf lettuce items, rather than pre packaged. The fresh lasts longer... The bread section is okay, lacks darker varieties. No options for " no grain or sugar" types. The deli was looking good today, although I was not buying anything there. The deli help asked me if I needed help finding anything, not just deli. That was nice. Overall, the store is a nice alternative to Price Chopper or Walmart. The customer service is especially notable, because they offer help & appear to genuinely want to help anthey smile and are pleasant. There's even a section for individual drinks by the front door. The store was recently remodeled in the past few years, and the entrance looks great. There's always parking available, and the store can be easily reached through the main driving loop throughout town. This location is always clean and uncrowded, and the employees are helpful if you ever need anything. Town and Country is definitely a hidden gem, and well worth the trip if you ever need to drop by.

Okay, so I swore I would never review WalMart. I mean, it's WalMart, right? We've all been there,…read morewe've all stood in a long line with slow cashiers and we have all walked a hundred miles in this store just to get milk. We have also all marveled at the human species while in this ginormous store. We've been there, done that. The game changer for me, though, was the order pickup tower that was recently installed. WOW-WE! Before the tower when you ordered something online for store pickup, you had certain hurdles you had to jump over to get your item. You had to scan in, wait for someone to acknowledge you, show you ID, wait while they searched through lockers to find your item and then you were good to go. With the tower, you scan in the barcode that has been emailed to you. Your product is rotated around and then scooped into a bin and the bin releases into an opening in the tower. You simply retrieve your item and *POOF* off you go. It took me under two minutes to get my item. Seriously, it was that fast. It was fun watching the item being retrieved, too. The best part about this new service is you do not have to wait for someone to wait on you. You don't have to wait for fumbling clerks to find a locker key, rummage through other items to retrieve your product. It is quite an incredible system. I actually might order more things just so I can use it again. LOL. At this point in time, there are only 150 of these towers in operation throughout the United States. I am just grateful there is one in Lawrence. I am one of those techy geek people and WalMart just knocked it out of the park!

Thankfully, the self-checkouts didn't require everyone to have a helper unlock and continue, so we were on our way. I can see this becoming a thing. Note that this Walmart is not a Supercenter. They have a limited selection of food, perhaps due to the lease for the shopping center. If you need a big food shop, you'll be better off at the grocery store on the other side. They have 2 full service check out registers and usually only 1 is in service. You go the the customer service desk and there are usually 2 or 3 employees, all taking car of the same customer and ignoring the ones standing in line. When you ask a question you get a blank stare showing a major lack of knowledge. When it is at all possible I shop for items at what little competition there still is in town. This Walmart has not earned my business.
