Brands of products include The North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, Carhartt, Adidas, Billabong, Marmot, Burton, their own Moosejaw brand, and many dozens of others. I shop at Moosejaw a couple of times per year, mostly to purchase clothing. My most recent purchase was a pair of winter gloves for my husband. I felt happy that Moosejaw carried the size XXL, unlike many competing stores. The price for the gloves was reasonable. I paid $5 for shipping, but free shipping is available for orders that are over $49. In addition, Moosejaw's rewards program gives 10% back to customers for use toward future purchases. Moosejaw shipped the gloves the next day, and the package was delivered to my home the following day--fast!

I set up my Moose account (MJM) and placed the order ($181.78) Order #157058015. My Visa card (Capital-One) honored the purchase No Problem. However, MJM blocked the order "Status: Authorization Code" and refuses to process it until they get a six digit code from my Cap-1. After speaking with Cap-1 three times, they're still baffled about what MJM is asking them to provide. How crazy is it that my name, address, phone#, card#, and ID we're all verified, and Cap-1authorized the charge, but the retail company to which I want to give my money is refusing to take it. This issue is ongoing as I write. If something improves, I'll remove this post, but if not then it stays up and my MJM shopping days will end.

I heard Yeti was a great brand to keep the water cold for a very long time. I have been looking for a color I liked and found a nice red one here called Harvest Red. I do not think Yeti is discounted very often, so I probably just paid they typical price, but I liked their assortment. Their customer service was really good. Many people talked to me to make sure I found what I needed and they were all very friendly and personable. They do ask you to join their club. I do not buy enough for it to be worth my while but it seems like a decent deal if you do buy here often since it is one fairly small payment for life and allows you to accumulate points or get a discount. They have a small but nice shoe selection, and I like the clothing selection as well. If you are interested in a smaller, less overwhelming sporting goods shop, this is a nice one.

There were many areas that I was not able to get to. The socks, which is what I came for, are on a wall at the back of the clearance area. The floor was so covered in merchandise and the displays were so close together, that I could not get near them. The clothing aisles were all diagonal and impossible to navigate. Lastly, and most upsetting to me, my daughter and I were checking out at the same time and her cashier was really pleasant, greeted her warmly and kept up a stream of converation, but the one that waited on me was rude and barely spoke. I can't say for sure that this was due to my disability, but what else am I to think? Evidently Rei doesn't care for disabled people. Or maybe they think that people with disabilities do not need active merchandise, so they don't have to cater to them. Either way it was sad to be treated negatively just because I have to use a scooter to get around.
