If you want him to get it safely rolling on the road as cheap as he can, he will do that too. Ron is also very good at explaining a sophisticated mechanical problem to somebody with little more than a basic understanding of how the car works. So you don't feel like you've just been told what needs to be fixed, you feel like you understand why it needs to be fixed.
