I had an unpleasant experience with Nivi, the owner of Lash Rehab. I went for a volume fill and…read moreduring the session, was experiencing stinging from the glue. I have had lash extensions continuously for five years applied at many salons, but my eyes have never watered so badly. Two weeks after this fill, I experienced extreme itchiness and discomfort. When it came time to getting my next fill, I sought out another lash specialist from a different salon. When she inspected my lashes three weeks after, she said that the previous fill had been done so poorly that it had caused damage to my real lashes, so the best thing to do was to remove all the lashes and glue completely, then allow a week to heal before purchasing an entirely new full set. As she removed the lashes, she took pictures so I could see the damage for myself and it was only then I could see just what a poor job Nivi from Lash Rehab had done. Following the appointment, I contacted Nivi. She offered to give me a complimentary fill, but after the poor experience I had with her at Lash Rehab, I did not feel confident returning to her. Even though I had to pay for the removal and it will cost a great deal more to get a new full set, I only asked that she refund me the cost of my fill appointment. She refused on the basis that I hadn't requested it within three days of my fill with her, but unfortunately, I did not know until later what a poor job she had done and that it had caused damage. I wouldn't recommend Nivi or Lash Rehab. Not only did she provide an inadequate service that caused pain and damage, but she did not make amends for her error.

Waxed myself for the first time and was recommended to come here. Was first waxed with normal wax,…read morebut i had a reaction to it and the staff immediately did what they could to counteract the reaction with soothing oil and a cold towel and in the end i was also given a cream to apply before going to bed if there were still irritated skin. They continued with hard wax (after warning me repeatedly that I could have a reaction to that as well...which I ignored) and it went great. In short, great service, staff that really takes care of you and a very affordable price.

I used to go to Beauty Trend until I started using the Wax on Wax off location down by Stortinget, but after switching locations I am more convinced that I will stick with this beauty center. Wax off Wax on offers multiple different treatments from hair removal to massages and facials. So far I have only used their waxing service but I am positively surprised by beauty practitioner and wouldn't mind trying out more of their services. In therms of waxing they offer a bunch of different treatments with different types of wax. My personal favorite is hot wax or hard wax which it is also called. It is suppose to be better for sensitive skin. I have found it hard to find a place in Oslo who have beauty practitioners that actually use the hard wax in a good way, so I was extremely happy when Vanessa (my practitioner) was swift and very capable! Definitely recommend this location, especially for clients who are used to these kind of services in the U.S. Very similar and very good service!

This was my first time getting anything professionally waxed and like I always do, I jumped…read morehead...err crotch first into it. It is recommended that you start off with a bikini wax so that some of the hair begins to get thinner and therefor less painful when ripped out of your body. So if pain is something that you really cannot handle and you are set on eventually becoming a sphynx in your nether regions, I would suggest starting off with a bikini wax. If you are not willing to wait, they do give you a numbing cream at your request, but it must have 30-45 minutes to take effect, which means you need to show up 30-45 mins before your scheduled appointment. Since this was my first time, I went with the numbing cream and obvioulsy cannot tell you if it worked or not. If it did work, I am not sure I would like to try it without. There was definitely pain and since the cream is supposed to reduce 70-80% of the pain, I can only imagine what it would have felt like without it. When I entered this place I was greated by a very nice woman who explained quite thoroughly how to apply the cream. The bathroom, which is downstairs, is filled with tampons, baby wipes, panty liners, and a little spritzer perfume so if you didn't come as prepared as you would have liked, they make sure you end up prepared. As I came 45 mins early for my appointment, I got to listen to quite a few people's reactions to being waxed since the walls to the rooms do not go up to the ceilings. Therefor, any groan, moan, or gasp you make is heard by the people in the waiting room. For first timers, it's enough to make you want to run out of there screaming. Eventually it was my turn to enter the chamber of torture. Christell explained to me what to do and what to expect. She was very nice and calm. She didn't talk much, but explained to me what she was going to do every time she was about to touch me, which was definitely comforting. The whole experience was definitely not as painful as I expected it to be. Granted, I did a ton of online research and made sure I did every thing in preparation to make the experience as painless as possible. I chose Waxing Palace because it was recommended by two friends. I am glad I did not listen to the review below mine. However, the review did make me look out for what was being critiized. I watched every time Christell dipped the stick into the waxing pot and each time she took a new stick. The location is small and the price is high, but I have already made my next appointment with them and would recommend anyone who is looking for any type of waxing service to try this place.

I was really happy with my brow waxing experience here…read more It seems you cannot book an appointment online without a Norwegian telephone number (it automatically adds +47 to the number).
