Dropped in for a light nibble. Ordered two Salted Caramel cupcakes and a Mango Smoothie that my daughter and I both shared. I would have honestly preferred something a bit more savory and healthy than cupcakes but I'm pescatarian and the few savory options they had seemed to all have meat in them. I really wish they would expand their offerings to include more pescatarian or vegetarian options. We'd been to another cafe close by in the same town, and their offerings were even more sparse. Kinda surprised at how limited the food offerings are in this town. Being in a town which is the Star Trek capital of Canada, you'd think they'd leverage that to their advantage and have more foods & drinks available for all the Trekkies that decide to trek their way out here. I suppose the Mango smoothie at least was somewhat healthy since it had fruit in it.
Offerings were sparse but the cupcake and smoothie were both nicely made. I was surprised at how enjoyable the cupcake was even though the cupcake and frosting on it were both cold. The smoothie was tasty and fun to drink cuz they put a sticker on the cup that said "Romulan Ale". There was a cute sign that said " Gratitude boosts shields. Complaints drain life support." Also saw a painting of Spock and Kirk on the wall. Little things like these made this a fun place to stop for our nibbles. Just wish this place and other places in this town for that matter would up their game by expanding their menu offerings, and more "Gratitude boosts shields..." touches would also be good to see. read more
