I've been leasing vehicles for about 17 years, and with my lease up in a month, I really wanted to…read moredo my due diligence this time by test driving multiple different SUVs to find the perfect fit. Because of this, I've worked with many, many salespeople over the last couple of weeks. I'm quite specific about what I'm looking for...the vehicle type, trim level, and the price point I'm hoping to stay around. I've asked to test drive specific vehicles and requested leasing options from various dealerships. As someone who's quite busy with a teenager, three dogs, works remotely, and doesn't have a lot of free time - every moment counts when I leave throughout the day just to test drive a vehicle. Unfortunately, it hasn't mattered how clear I've been about my time constraints. I've spent hours and hours in offices waiting to get information on vehicles and leasing amounts. Even with pre-scheduled test drives, I've had to wait 45+ minutes. I've had different offices be dishonest with me about their inventory. It has been an incredibly frustrating process. This is where Preston came in. I decided to look outside of our community and called Rydell a couple of days ago. I was put in touch with Preston, and again, I was very clear...this is the type of vehicle and trim I'm looking for, I'm hoping to better understand what the leasing price would be etc. Preston not only heard what I said but unlike everyone else I had worked with up until this point, he actually listened to me. He got off the phone within minutes and shortly after I received a text from him with the leasing prices. After that, he continued to provide me with all the necessary updates via text message... it was so productive and efficient!! He wasn't asking to talk to me for 30+ minutes on the phone and he wasn't stating I needed to go to their office. I am just so impressed by his ability to think about the customer experience and provide top-tier service. I would recommend Preston and Rydell to anyone I know who's considering purchasing or leasing a vehicle in the future. Bravo...well done, and thank you to him so very much!!!!!

I decided to take a change as I had received a great coupon. Chuck was amazing!! Even though the appointments were somehow overbooks online he still managed to make my experience great and I didn't have to wait as long as we were thinking it might take. I will definitely go back after the great customer service I received. Thank you for the cookies Chuck!

Buyer Beware - My Experience with Nelson Auto of Grand Forks…read more I purchased a 2020 Ford Transit Cargo Van from this dealership and had it inspected shortly afterward by a Ford-certified technician at St. George Ford. The inspection identified several issues, including: * Rear axle shaft seal leak * Rear differential pinion seal leak * A missing engine air-intake water-diversion component These are drivetrain and functional components that typically develop over time, not cosmetic issues that appear overnight. I contacted the dealership and worked directly with Eric Taylor. He initially said he would review the inspection report. After multiple follow-ups over several weeks, the final response was that nothing would be done and that the matter was "resolved" because the vehicle was sold AS-IS. To be clear, I was not asking them to cover every recommended service item--only a few significant issues involving drivetrain seals and a missing component that were identified immediately after purchase. Rather than reviewing the findings or attempting to reconcile two professional inspections, the dealership dismissed the report entirely and ended the conversation. Mechanical issues can happen with any used vehicle. What matters is how a dealership responds when credible problems are documented right after a sale. In this case, the response from management was essentially: you signed the paperwork, so it's your problem now. Consumers should understand that "AS-IS" language does not eliminate expectations of good-faith business practices when material mechanical concerns appear immediately after purchase. Because of how this situation was handled, I am documenting the experience publicly and will also be sharing the inspection documentation with **Ford Motor Company customer relations and relevant consumer protection channels for review. If you're considering buying here, get a truly independent inspection before signing anything. Based on my experience, once the paperwork is signed, don't expect much help from management. Buyer beware.

Last Thursday while I was waiting on an oil change for my Elantra, a member of the Eide Hyundai…read moreservice department told me that since my car was nearing 50,000 miles, I needed the timing belt replaced at a cost of $650. He also recommended replacing the transmission fluid for $200. Normally, I wouldn't have that much cash on hand, but since I recently got my tax refund, I agreed to have the work done next week. As I was paying my bill, I decided to check that the repairs were necessary, so I informed the serviceman that I wanted to talk to a friend before fully committing to the work. He reminded me that the timing belt needed to be replaced at 50,000 miles. When I got home, a quick look on the internet revealed that most cars don't need a new timing belt until 90,000 miles. A check of my owner's manual confirmed that the timing belt did not need replacing until the odometer read 90,000 miles. So, be skeptical when you take your car to Eide. If a mechanic tells you an expensive part needs to be replaced, don't just trust his word. If you do, you may find yourself spending $650 on a part that does not need replacing for another 40,000 miles. Last Friday I called the manager at Eide and told him what happened. He said the service manager wasn't there that day, but he promised the service manager would call Monday. I never heard back from anyone at Eide, which suggests that what happened to me is business as usual.

On the test drive I noticed the Vista roof wouldn't open . We negotiated I asked both salesman and Finance manager is it a good Tuck any issues in service NO EVERYTHING IS GOOD THEY SAID. I went to do paperwork with Josh Nesdahl the Finance manager I have been in the Car business for over 30 years this was the Rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever come across in my time he starts out by telling me sign all DMV paperwork then says sign for your 24 month warranty. I said what warranty I didn't agree to any warranty . Owe it's in there the bank knows too. I said You are the worst finance guy I have ever dealt with. You didn't even try and sell me one you are just trying to shove it down my throat !! I said Fuck you I am not buying your warranty unless It's a manufacture warranty they hardly ever cover the problem . He then tells me my proof of income is Fake I printed it off my ADP app then he denies it's real. I was Fuming . I am going to tell the Manager you won't take the warranty . Fine I said go ahead he storms out comes back in and just starts saying sign here sign here I didn't buy the warranty because it wasn't a Factory issued Ford Warranty. The next day I go put the truck on a scanner at the auto part's store the Engine didn't sound normal. The cleared 6 factory Codes and didn't repair them . I went back the next Day The GM was gone that day too because the big Blizzard was about to hit . What a work schedule no wonder this store has the ratings I just looked at. They tell me they won.t fix anything it's about $2,500.00 to replace Cam Phasers they said we can unwind it and you keep your trades . I made such a good deal on them trading in a 2 wheel drive truck and a Hybrid accord I bout new for same price they gave me on trade that I just drove my new 4x4 home through the blizzard. A WEEK GOES BUY AND THERE ARE $259.00 CHARGES ON MY DEBIT CARD foe Food . Josh Nesdahl made a copy of my license and debit card this guy is a thief and I feel the whole Corporation are the typical slimy sleezy sales people who where I live in Arizona it is not allowed at a corporate level here . Buyer be very careful here ! I would only come here as a last result go to Rydell I was there earlier they are professional . Travis D.

They also said it would be unsafe to drive so I called into work since I wouldn't be able to leave town. I used their messaging system to ask for updates and finally 4 days later I got someone on the phone who said it would actually be another 10 days before they have the parts they need. They then said I could come get the car and just bring it back once the part arrives. So I was stuck in Grand Forks for days thinking my car was unsafe to drive when in reality I could've taken it the day it was dropped off. I had a second opinion done at another shop and they found NO PROBLEM. They did try to buy the car off me and get me in something newer about 5 times during this process though!
