On multiple occasions I have brought a vehicle in to have an issue checked and was told nothing needed attention and wasn't charged a dime. Just yesterday I found an unsettling pool of oil under my vehicle in my garage. I dropped it off this morning using their drop box and had it repaired and ready to pick up shortly after noon. Best of all, I was told since I had just had the vehicle in a few weeks ago for tires and brakes that there was no charge for this repair! I've always been made to feel like a valued customer and never being taken advantage of. Having routine maintenance such as an oil change done here has always been to my benefit (side note: their price for an oil change is comparable to those quick lube places and just as fast if you make an appointment). First, it's assuring having an excellent mechanic looking over my vehicle. Second, if there are a few issues found I can always count on an honest opinion as to its urgency. I never feel pressured into thousands of dollars of maintenance after a simple oil change. Fast, professional, honest, and courteous! Everything I've had worked on has been repaired without issue. I leave the lot relieved that my vehicle has been taken care of correctly, My family will be customers for life!

There's nary problem he can't fix. He is an old school nuts and bolts mechanic. You're not going to see walls of fancy equipment telling you what the problem is. You're going to see wrenches, impact drivers, sockets, screwdrivers and the like. He's one of those guys that can listen to your car and tell you what's wrong. Like all mechanics, he's got busted knuckles, a bad back and miles of scar tissue. He kept thousands of vehicles that were long overdue for the junkyard on the road. His customer base ranged from the richest people in Grand Forks to the people like me who lived paycheck to paycheck. He treats everyone like they are his best friend. 124 Belmont Road is a little slice of heaven, it's sad it's a forced retirement but Paul has worked 15 hour days and sometimes more to keep his customers happy. Thunder rays was very courteous the whole time and worked as quick as possible to correct the issue. Thunder rays even went out of their way to talk to the other repair shop to get them to foot the bill for the issues they created when they tried to fix the car in the first place. When I showed online where the clips were the old 20 year veteran was too proud to look at it and proceeded to pull on until he broke it free. A never gave me a core credit and overcharged me for the battery. This gentleman was too proud to look at a simple instruction online in order to do the job properly. No one should ever go to this place as they're taking advantage of people and overcharging them. He told me during the course of the fix that he charges customers more if they stand there and watch him. I had to assure that he wasn't break the brackets. Do not go here.
